All right, we'll start right before their owners leave.
Shay yawned, morning sunlight streaming through the window, the warm rays feeling wonderful on her red and white pelt. For a moment, she thought she was the first one up, since no one was stirring around her, and no voices filled the air. A lone, grizzled figure standing outside made her muzzle quirk in a smile. Of course she wans't the first up.
Shay padded outside, slipping easily through the low, swinging door that all of the dogs used. "Morning," she greeted, stifling another yawn. Her smal grin grew a little. Even though the old canine wasn't good company, she remained fond of him.
Seph looked in her direction for a moment, dipping his head in acknowledgment. He then returned to looking at the slowly rising sun, though what he saw in it was a mystery.
Shay knew he wouldn't say anymore unless it was important in his mind, so she sat down, follwinng his gaze. The morning clouds were lined with silver, accenting the strekas of pink and gold in the sky.

Jesse awoke about an hour after Shay and yawned. He quickly stretched his legs and bounded outside. Once there, he turned to Shay with an excited expression. "What's up guys? Watchin' the sun?" he asked as he saw where their gazes were pointed towards. He put his paws on the ground and slowly layed down once more, calming down slightly, but still excited. You could tell that much just by the movement of his hind leg which was shaking.

Bailey yawned and opened her eyes. She stood up slowly and walked up to them, sitting down by Shay. "Morning she sadi sleepilyly. She shot glances aroungd the yard then down at the porch, her tail wagging. She looked around for excitement , but soon got bored. She sighed and hit a ball back and forth in her paws, soon grinning. "At least today's warmer than yesterday." she muttered.

"I honetly have no idea. I was just following Seph's example," Shay said, a small grin lurking on her face as she shrugged.
Seph shot her a withering look, aware that the grin was at his expense.
Shay's smile became more obvious, and slightly mischievious. She leapt forward towards Bailey, rolling the ball away from the female. "Got the ball!" she cried out teasingly, running to the other side of the yard with it, her rump raised in a way of asking for a game.

Jerry lee woke up from a deep sleep with a snort. He had been laying on thching himself with his legs he trotted outside where the others were. "Mornin' guys and gals." he greeted cheerfully. He loved all of them, for as far as he was concerned, they were as close to him as any dogs could ever be. They were his family after all. Only the young male human in the family that owned all the dogs was as close. he and the boy would go for walks every day. They would also play fetch or run around the yard. It was still a few hours untill the boy woke up. Untill then, Jerry lee watched the sunrise with the other dogs.

Bailey jumped back in shock but giggled. A small growl escaped her mouth as she stepped off of the porch and chased after Shay. Not really paying attention to what was around her. She heard a few cars rumble to life and she jumped. When she landed on the ground, she saw that it was the neighbor's car, backing out of the driveway. "I hate cars." she mumbled, still running after Shay.

Shay laughed, running away again. As she did, the ball got caught under her paw, and she went sprawling onto the ground. She lay there, panting and laughing. "Just take the ball," she gasped out, a wide grin spread out across her face. She stood up, hsaking the loose dirt from her fur. Ignoring the stitch in her side, gained from laughter, she rolled the ball towards Bailey.

Jerry Lee watched the others play and laughed a little when he remembered it was time for the boy to wake up. He got up and dtrooted back inside and went straight to the boy's room. The boy was there sleeping. Jerry pressed his cold wet nose to the boy's face and licked in his usual way to wake him up.

Bailey giggled and took the ball. Tossing it aside, she looked around. "Shay...when are the masters coming back?" she asked. She sat down and looked at her paws, remembering when she didn't have a master, and when she got lost in a sea of brown and black fur. She shuddered at the thought and tried to think of something else. "I miss them..."

Shay's wide grin faded. "I don't know, Bailey. It should be soon though."
"I wouldn't be to sure of that," Seph grunted.
"Why would you say that?" Shay asked, cocking her head in confusion as she stared at the grizzled old hound.
"No reason," Seph replied, his tone making it obvious he would say no more.
Shay knew that this small conversation would haunt her the rest of the day, and a pang of worry shot through her.

Bailey sighed but brightened up. She looked from everyone to the door and walked inside. She trotted up the steps and walked around in the hallways, as if trying to find something. Her train of thought was interrupted when she found Jerry Lee. She walked up to him and hopped onto the chair in front of the desk. "Hey, Jerry Lee...what are you doing?" she asked quietly.
