Honestly. Like everyone else has said: Your fursona is YOU. Not one of your characters. They are both ENTIRELY different. If you want to do the cool mates fandom and make pups go ahead, but make a character for that. For example, my fursona is happy and single with a lot of friends. She doesn't need a whole different life on the internet because she wouldn't actually be me.
As just about everyone else here, I support that no fursona mates rule thing.
Oh, and making mates for your fursona and making pups just 'because it's fun' is really no exuse when you can gladly make a character for all that jazz. There's no limit to how many characters you have. Make up to 800 if you want, knock yourself out. (Place them on another site of course. There's absolutely no way you could keep all of your characters on AS. Not like you need to anyway. Why do so many people want their characters on this site as if their life depended on it?)

I agree. But Whats your opinion on Fursona Mates if it relates to a real life relationship? and people are going to be like that with mates/babies. Heck one of my closest friends believes there is such thing as two parts of a fursona. a character n just based on himself. he had like 3 mates even with his other characters for fun which ticked me off cause its his FURSONA not just any character.. irritates me really. Zion my fursona has only been with Hailey. but thats cause me and Angel Dreamer are in a real relationship.. so i think thats fine then since its based on our real selves. and i admit yes we added pups for our roleplay of them. it was fun to do and i never regret doing it.. but it aint like i made those characters offical with their own pages and what not. it was fun to have with my love. I kinda rambled abit but point is whats your opinion of it in that situation of mine.

Ok, I really don't mind when they have a relationship in REAL LIFE. But even if you really do have kids, it's just weird if go and TURN THEM INTO DOGS. I would never in a million years do that!

Now, I gave my fursona a crush, but then I thought it was kind of weird so I deleted him.

And when I see people that HAVE NEVER REALLY MET, saying that they are freaken MATES and have CHILDREN, it just.... makes me feel kind of sick :/ I mean, its just not right...

If it's a real relationship then that's fine. If you have kids in real life then that's fine too. Those events are actually happening in your life so it's you. It's when people go ahead and throw themselves as mates when it's not really happening that bothers me.

bothers me too.. especially when they think your fursona is your character and not YOU. i had a friend put HIS fursona mates with his Brother. and with others fursonas saying a character thing. and i argue with him cause of it. if its other characters fine. but nu its fursonas. it wont work =/ character n character = okay. fursona and character = no, unless you physically love that character. and fursona and fursona = Okay aslong you really are together. see what i mean?

Okay so I saw this topic and I just had to post my opinion. XD
I have to agree with the majority here, since a fursona is YOU in wolf form (or whatever) it seems very strange to ask for a mate for yourself. Especially since the “mate” you get might not be somebody else’s fursona but a random character and not necessarily a real person :/ (okay either way its strange….but you get me?) Though I do have to admit that I made Hailey up randomly and turned her into my fursona later on. She was on the borderline between character and Fursona , when I started rp-ing with her for the first time. I called her my fursona however, and it was a while before I realized she was supposed to be me. At the time though, She and Zion’s fursona had gotten together and had pups xD and at about the same time, we were kinda “together” too ;] HOWEVER, even though Hailey is my fursona, she has pups, I have NO kids and have NO plans on having any -__- The REASON why Zion and Hailey had pups is because they fell in love and everybody was EXPECTING them to have them XD it was all for the rp. But…since Zion and I don’t have kids, it may seem somewhat weird..but. the pups have become so part of the rp that….well we cant just take em out xD
