"I'm glad," said Mimean. He peered into the distance. "Here comes Ilac now."

Ilac, now having fed all of the Pokemon, was on his way back to the house. Knowing that a guest was visiting, coming to the lake, he went by there. However, nobody was there. Heading back towards the Ranch, he saw Mimean and another person. He skidded to a halt beside them. "Thanks, Mimean," he said. "Hi there, I'm Ilac, the Rancher here."

Kenji nodded. "Hello." he said. "I'm Kenji, this is my Eevee."

Eevee just said her name happily.

"Well, hello, there," said Ilac. Noticing the matted fur, he turned to the hoverscooter and pulled a hairbrush from a compartment. Turning back, he began combing out the many tangles from Eevee's fur. "So, how long have you been Pokemon and trainer?" he asked.

OOC: If Eevee could notice a black disk over one of my ears, that would be good right now...

Eevee smiled, enjoying it. She looked up and noticed a black disk over his ear, she cocked her head, confused.

Kenji looked confused. "Well...in honesty, not that long, but I'm very busy and haven't gotten the chance to raise Eevee very well."

OOC: Is Eevee a guy or a girl?

BIC: Ilac, combing out the wrinkles in Eevee's fur, noticed the cocked expression. "What's wrong?" he said.

OOC: Female.

Eevee pawed the weird black object lightly to let him know what she was looking at.

"Oh, ha! This is my translator, Eevee. Mimean has his translator so that visitors can understand him. Mine is so I can understand Pokemon," said Ilac with a laugh. He slipped it off to show it to Eevee, then replaced it. Standing up, Ilac pulled a slide whistle out of his pocket and played three piercing notes. Immediately, a Pidgeot flew up. "Take the carts back to the house, please, Pidge," Ilac said. The Pidgeot cooed an affirmative. Ilac started whistling a tune, and as Pidge heard it, he perked up visibly. He flew off happily, grabbing the empty food carts from the back of the hoverscooter.

"Really? So you can understand me?" asked Eevee, impressed that he was so smart. "You're really smart, must be to make something like that."

OOC: Unless I say otherwase, Eevee is speaking pokemon at the moment.

OOC: Got it. If you're agreeable, I'd like to do, later, a little scene where Eevee thinks she can get away with speaking human, and Ilac catches her. That would be funny in my opinion. And, also, can your human be a Trainer from Kanto who's never heard of Johto, etc.?

BIC: "It's really not smarts," Ilac said. "To become a Rancher, well, it's like a Pokemon University." He looked at Kenji. "You know the universities that enroll graduated students in the Pokemon League?"

OOC: Maybe right before she takes him to the Pokemon World. Kenji's not actuelly human...

Kenji nodded. "I've heard of them, never seen them."

"We're you learn to make these things?" asked Eevee, curious. "You must have figured it out somehow."

"Well, when you go to a Rancher University, you learn a good deal more things," said Ilac. "For example, happiness whistles." Ilac started whistling again. This time, the tune was different.

OOC: That's fine, and what do you mean "Kenji's not actually human"? And, Eevee should feel a great amount of happiness. That's the magic of "happiness whistles".

Kenji listened, feeling very happy from it for some reason.

Eevee wagged her tail, happy. "That's nice!"

OOC: Kenji's reaction to that should reveal that.

OOC: You've gotta be kidding me... in that case, I'll hold off on the "sleep tune". And, can you start my Pokemon open RP? I desperately need members.

BIC: Ilac smiled. "The happiness whistle differs for every Pokemon. That one was for an Eevee. Earlier, you heard me whistle one for a Pidgeot. Now, another thing, instead of being entered into the Pokemon League, we get all of this." He waved an arm behind him. "But this big of a house and yard required me to be top in the Advanced University. You should have seen my place after the Basic University."

"That was horrible," chimed in Mimean. "Ilac tamed so many Pokemon that you couldn't twitch without knocking a Rattata into next week."

Ilac laughed. "True. Luckily, I've been busy. All of this, and my tools, are standard Rancher issue. I just don't have enough money to get more advanced stuff."

OOC: I'll check it.

"Oh, I thought you made it..." said Eevee. "Oh well, its still cool and I really like this place, it's really cool."

Kenji nodded. "You're a great Rancher if this place is any inclination."

"Thanks," said Ilac. "Now, let's go to the lake." He pulled his slide whistle back out, playing three more notes. A Doduo ran up. "We're going to the lake," he said. Turning to Kenji, he said, "It's quicker than walking another mile. Mount up."
