"Phantom!" Rue cried out, seeing him grabbed by an Eraser. SHe soared over quickly, kicking the hairy arm hard, forcing the ERaser t o let go.

Phantom soared away slightly from he Erasor "Lets Split up again" he called over to to Ruth "And try and find Cekeste while your at it"

Rue nodded, veering away from the helicopter. SHe groaned inwardly as it followed her, and she cut down into a steep dive, freefall making her stomach clench. She pulled out the dive near the ground, unable to go farther down without ramming into trees. IT seemed a though she had lost it. She checked below her, relaxing fractionally and heaving a slight sigh of releif to see that they weren't below her too. Seeing no one close around, she bagan to call Celeste's name softly, her voice acrrying. "Celeste!"

Phantoom took a different Route, Feeling safer to fly upwards. Soon he heard the rotating baldes of the chopper and groand £"This just isnt my day" he muttered and Swooped higher to avoid the
m.

"Celeste!" Rue called again, trepidation rising up in her.

"Over here" came a faint cry from Celeste. She flew over to her sister just as Phantom came up.

"I Lost them" he panted, Blood seeping from a wound on his wing "But we better get somewhere befor ethey find us again"

Rue nodde worriedly, taking hold of Celeste's hand. The damp heat from it comforted her slightly, and she looked more in control, her brown eyes determined. "Where should we go? We shouldn't stay anywhere's near here...." Rue said.

Celeste Just looked at her sneakers.

Phantom Sat on a tree branch "Well, im notup to much flying with this" he said, putting a hand on his wing. "But Theres a town, Far enough away to be safe"

"You sure you can make it that far?" Rue asked. When a distant buzz of a helicopter reached her ears, she made an executice decision. "I guess you'll have to. I hear a chopper," she said. "We can patch you up some at the town." Without waiting for an answer, she flung herself into the air, falling for only a few seconds in freefall before her tawny wings caught the air.

Cleste followed Rue, Her wings beating slightly.

phantiom nodded and flew after them. Pain shot fown his wing every time he had to flap

Rue flew close by Phantom, holding hands with Celeste. Flying a bit slower than usual because of Phantom and the longer, more confusing route they were forced to take, they still reached town in about 15 minutes. She landed behind a large tree.

hantom Landed omn a low branch and climbed down. He foled his wings away and leant back with a long sigh.

Celeste Sat on the floor and looked at her older 'siblings' "What now?" she asked.

"we should find something to patch Phantom up with, then get some food. After that...well, let's just deal with that later," Rue said.

"Im Fine" Said Phantom "My Wing can wait till later"

"I saw you wincing every few seconds on the way down here. We'll patch you up first," Rue said stubbornly.
