Kate laughed and said, " I have once in my life remember?" She said thinking of the big scary dogs that were once in her life and bringing up that horrible night when she was swatted by their owner for doing nothing but rubbing her head against her owner's cheek. She felt a huge lump forming in her throat but quickly pushed it away as she felt the pain,"But, at least you didn't have to get shot in the back leg like I did. I would have hated for you to have gone through that." She frowned. She also felt the pain on her legs.

Kates ear twiched as she heard a twig snap. She glanced behind her and it was the same hunter as before. She looked at her sister and whispered in a small mew,"Run." She jumped up and ran with her sister behind her and they both climbed up into a tree and hid well in the tree branches,"It's the hunter. It must be hunting season again. Just stay up here till that shiny thing goes away." she said with heavy but quiet breaths.

Kali had run with wide eyes as her sister whispered the soft instruction. She panted, but silently. Her tail twitched as she looked down below, her sharp eyesight catching every detail on his face, the shock and adrenaline coursing through her making her vision extra clear and crisp.

Kate hadn't seen the gun in a while so she climbed out of the tree but told her sister to stay there incase he was still there. So she climbed out of the tree and onto the ground. She looked around and sniffed the air and ground. She couldn't find a scent of him any where so she mewed for her sister to come down.

Kate suddenly felt a sharp pain in the place she was shot before and it hurt even worse. Kate thought it went deep in the bone and she collapsed. All she saw was red, like the first time she was shot. She started to actually hyperventilate as she was shot close to the heart but was instead shot in one of the important vital arteries in the lungs.

"No!' Kali yelled, leaping towards her sister. Grief filled her as she saw the blood, and her eyes flashed. Immediatly, sadness and shock turned to anger, which quickly grew to rage. She threw herself at the attacker, clawing and hissing.

The hunter attempted to hit the cat but missed. He then threw the cat off of himself and ran away with severe cuts and bruises.
