Crystal gasped. "You've had to face that monster too?" she asked. "My mom always got the Star Flower and put its nectar around the pack land's boundry, said it couldn't enter so long as that was the case." she said. "Then she...passed on and no one did it that year...well you can guess what happened, I managed to bury it in a cave in." she said. "I've always told myself its dead...but every winter I can't shake the feeling it'll come back to get me..." she said. "Mom always told me a poem about it." she said. "When Fall ends and winter begins, it goes on the prowl, during the winds howl. When the winter winds blow, thus begins the Season of the Windigo. Anything that moves is its prey, here is how to keep it at bay. Fire's touch it fears, light one should it draw near. Only one thing can slay the Windigo, to where the North Star leads you must go. There a mountain lays, this is the way. At the mountains top, grows a very special crop. This is the Star Flower, you'll need it in this darkest hour. It nectar to the Windigo must be fed, and soon it will be dead." she recited.

Cobalt frowned and said "Exactly. You must have the Windigo digest the nectar of the Star Flower. If you didn't do that then it's still out there. My father told me that. My father always told me his adventure to the mountain with a beautiful white wolf. He said she looked like the snow on the best of days but even more beautiful. It must have been lovely for him but it must have been a curse also. You see both of them were already mated but not with each other. I will never forget the wolf's name. Do you want to know the wolf's name?"
OOC: I will change her color if she's not a white wolf. The female wolf is Stardust.

Crystal blinked. "My mother...Stardust." she said. "That's why your father couldn't kill it, you see the nectar only disables its ability to heal rapidly from wounds and severely weakens it, you've still got to apply the finishing blow." she said. "My mother told me there were many Windigo long ago but the humans and wolves united, using the Star Flower, they poisoned the Windigo and then hunted them down, killing all but this one, but unfortunantly, the Star Flower was overused during that time, so now it only grows on the mountain." she said. "That's why are parents had to be careful, there were large amounts of nectar in the flower but you have to avoid killing the plant, since if its destroyed, there's no way to kill the Windigo." she said. "But there's a special way you've got to remove the plant's flower or you'll kill the whole plant and it'll not grow back the next year. I never found out how to extract the nectar from the flower, or I'd have gotten it myself to fend it off if it comes here this year."

Cobalt nodded and said "Yes, I know that the Windigo were numerous in number but they got hunted down and destroyed except for this one. So, do you know the way to the mountain then?"

Crystal nodded. "My mother took me once." she said. "Its simple, follow the North Star, its a long way away but you'll know the mountain when you see it, the North Star, at midnight during the winter, always appears to rest at its top." she said. "Following the North Star always leads to the path there." she said. "I just need to figure out how to inject the nectar into the Windigo and fatally wound it at the same time."

Cobalt smiled and nodded. He said "I guess we need both of us then. You know the way and I know how to extract the nectar. I think our destiny was for us to meet here for some reason. Who knows what might be in store for us. So, are you ready to go get this over with then, Crystal?"

"Yeah...but the nectar must be fresh in order for it to be most effective, fresher the better." said Crystal. "...We've got to wait for it to awaken and lure it there, then kill it with the nectar as soon as we can." she said. "Plus, while we're gone, it could wipe out this pack, we need to make sure it'll follow us." she said. She looked at her paws. "Please...I couldn't go through that again...losing my pack again..."
