Takoda nodded and then looked at Conner. "And why is that? Is it greed that makes you like this? Why do you think you are in this dilemma, Conner?" Takoda continued to circle Conner when he recieved the vision. He closed his eyes and held the picture in his mind. He then opened his eyes again. "Tell me..."

Connor sighed. "Yeah, I guess when your dad is rich, you grow up being selfish and pampered, getting everything you want." he said. "I'm used to demanding things and people doing them for me." he said. "And I'm used to not anwsering to anyone...I guess I must've really ticked off Mother Nature to get myself in this mess."
Well at least he admits it. said Mother Nature. Can you think of any other way to teach him humility?...Other than having Sally skunk him?

Must she do that? I smell of stink after all of this... But Takoda looked up at the new wolf. "You did, Conner," Takoda growled, "And you nearly killed us all! That would've been a terrible burden to carry. You're lucky to be a wolf."

Connor looked on. "Yes...I guess I could've....and I'm sorry for that." he said, looking down. "How many animals live in this forest?" he asked. "I mean I just want to get the full scope of what might happen, or would've happened." he said, realizing maybe he'd gone too far, maybe all those animal rights people had been onto something.

"Alright, enough. You'll scare him out of his fur coat. Now, come." Takoda led the way to a small, cramped, stone wolf den, eaten away at by the wind and he huddled inside. "It's small, like wolf dens should be, Conner. But I think there is enough room for you as well. A small wolf's den is better than a night in the wood."
