So Wrong(Part Two)

Rin dipped her head in a greeting to yet another new arrival. This spot was normally quiet and lonely, but now, to the soft-spoken Rin, it seemed bustling with activity and new canines, some of which who seemed to know eachother as well. It made her feel a pang of lonliness, but she mentally shook her head, clearing them of depressing thoughts. She wouldn't allow that to get in her way of the possibility of finally being part of a group.

Rin could tell that the newcomer, whose brown eyes had lost some enthusiasm, was soft-spoken, like herself. Or atleast, she guessed it to be true. Without an actual conversation with the golden dog, she honestly had no way of knowing her personality. After a brief pause that seemed to be filled with an awkward silence, the hybrid finally decided to share her name.

"I'm Rin," she said, her voice soft and deliberate. She wouldn't make a bad impression by using the wrong tone or words, not when she might have company to talk to. Company that didn't wish to steal her food, or rip her to shreds. It was a pleasant change, and her tail thumped against the ground gently as a sign of friendliness.

The smile fell from Gabe's face when he realized no one was laughing. 'Hmm, tough crowd,' he thought to himself. Ahh well, you win some, you lose some. He was just about to say something else when he realized that Slyth was walking away in a daze. Canting his head to the side a little, he moved to try and follow. Of course, a second later, Roulette's nose collided with Slyth's back and the mutt was thankful he hadn't been too close for that train wreck. Poor girl, she looked a little shaken from that run in. He grinned right back at her when she said hello, glancing again to Rin when she introduced herself.

"Name's Gabe, but don't wear it out," he said, nodding to the both of them and grinning like an idiot the whole time.

But then again, when didn't Gabe grin like an idiot? He noticed that the other two in their presence hadn't responded yet and shrugged inwardly to himself. 'Suit themselves, I suppose. Perhaps they're just not feeling particularly social at the moment.' No matter, he turned his attention back to Slyth and the other two females.

"What's your name?" he asked, gesturing to Roulette.

Okay, sorry for the delay.

Slyth was trying not to let himself get too upset about Blitz and Saba leaving. He knew if he did, he was likely to become barely more than a shell and he possibly might never recover from that. No, becoming a vegetable because two people had left his life wasn't the way to deal with this. What he needed was something to take his mind off the pain he felt. He had full confidence that Blitz would return from the race as the winner. That wolfdog was something else. Saba... he just hoped that Anchorage could do something for her.
Before he could seek out Dis any farther, he felt something cold and wet press into his back. Startled, he jumped. Looking around for what had caused it, he saw a female dog. For some reason she had pressed her nose into his back. He mentally became aware of something when he looked at this female. He had never realized how many of them there were in Nome. His attention had always been preoccupied by Saba or Blitz. Now that his mind wasn't distracted, he was rather surprised by how many there were. Just in this small area, there were four of them.
Deciding not to be rude, Slyth did his best attempt at a smile and introduced himself to the new fae. "Hello. My name is Slyth. Im guessing you're new around, i haven't ever seen you before."

Dis felt her legs becoming stiff so she stood up and paced back and forth. She wished Slyth would show up soon. She couldn't really go looking for him. Being a gang dog, is wasn't safe for her to go looking around town for him. She wasn't worried about a fight, she could hold her own if it came to that. She had simply decided that with the condition Slyth was in, she didn't want to bring any trouble or danger near him. It was best to just to not attract attention to herself and wait for the male to show up. These motherly concerns for him were strange even to her. It wasn't that she felt attracted to him, she was just worried about him with Saba and Blitz gone. That was deffinatly going to leave him in a bad place and she wanted to be there for him. Besides, she had to keep him in one piece for Blitz when she returned.

Just to get things moving again, im gunna make another post. Aniu, PM me when(if) you see this. Got some things I wanna run by you about this rp.

For a few moments, Slythe thought the fae that had just run into him might have gone into shock from either fear or nerves. As he waited for her to respond, he had a sort of deja vu. Hadn't at some point or another he and Blitz ran into each other? He could recall something about being hit very hard and then falling to the ground, only to get back up and find Blitz laying there, looking dazed as well. Or had that been Saba? For a moment the fae in front of him acctually resembled Saba to Slythe. Why? He didn't know. It was only for a very brief moment. A blink later, it was gone. He didn't wait any longer for a respose. He turned and walked off, headed toward home where he could be alone for a bit.
He had made this walk home so many times his feet pratically took him there on their own. All the way up the long road that ran directly througn the town, again, he noticed how many female dogs there were. It dawned on him that anyone of them could've just as easily been the dog that stayed on his mind. Perhaps drive him crazier than Blitz already managed to do. If that were the case, he was certain this love thing would be the end of him.
Turning left down the road his brother Kodi lived on he hoped to get home without being seen or stopped. But things very seldom work out like that. As he took the turn he saw yet another female dog. She didn't say anything to him fortunatly. Instead she gave him a strange look where she canted her head to,one side, lay one ear back, and her eyes drooped a bit.
Turning off that road and taking a right, which was to deliberatly avoid passing Blitz's, Slythe let his mind wonder to something rather pdangerous. He had noticed that, despite however cute any of these other females were, none had the stunning effect Blitz had on him when they made eye contact. Something about her was irresistable. So then, why did Saba have the same effect on him?
This was the last thought to run through his head before his feet carried him, down an ally that cut through 3 roads, ending right in front of his home.
Taking a step toward the house, two familiar scents attacked his nose. Saba's scent was incredibly strong here. Also, another scent he knew but couldn't quite find a face for.

While she lay there waiting for Slyth to show himself, Dis pondered over the events of the last few weeks. First off, she had met the curious dog when she’d found him wondering around the dodgy parts of Nome where she had been living at the time. As a member of the controlling gang in the area, she assumed him to be a threat at first. But the more she watched him, the more it seemed unlikely this dog was any danger to anyone. He had a lost look on his face and innocent eyes. The way he walked and how he stood. The gang dogs had a strong stance. But Slyth’s stance was almost humorous.
She decided that he was no threat and to have some fun with him. It was entirely unexpected that only a short time later she’d find out he was the one that her oldest friend was crazy about. Strange… he didn’t seem like the type someone like Blitz would fall for. She was adventurous, clever, alert. He, however, looked like he barely knew his name. She did give Blitz credit though, he had a handsome face. He just didn’t seem like her….type. But it wasn’t her call, so she stayed quiet.
The details weren’t fully given to her about what was going on between Blitz and Slyth. All she had gathered from over hearing their conversation back in the boat was that there was someone else involved in this ‘thing’ between them. Who? No telling. She wasn’t even all that curious about the matter either. It was just clear that if something wasn’t done soon, both Blitz and Slyth would lose their sanity. So here she was, doing the only thing she could to help.
Unfortunately, the only thing she was getting accomplished was get colder and more stiff the longer she sat there waiting for the hopeless hound. As far as she knew, it may well have been too late to help Slyth at this point; both Blitz and his sister torn out of his life at the same time. Blitz would return a champion. That she knew, not only because Blitz was an excellent runner, but because there was something here she knew Blitz would be dying to return to. Slyth.
That’s where her plan hatched. The only way she could be of any help was to make sure Slyth stayed sane and safe for the next three weeks. His sister on the other paw, she wasn’t sure what she had left for. There was some rumor she’d heard about a dog being taken to Anchorage in hopes for a cure they did not have here in Nome. Maybe that was her. If it was, then Slyth’s situation was a lot more serious than just being love sick while Blitz was away; odd how things change so fast. Her first impression of Slyth was that he was a mindless moron who’d strayed out of his safe home and now here she was, waiting for him to show up so that she could help him through the next three weeks.
It was just as she began to wonder if there were any dogs in her life she’d feel lost without or if she’d ever met anyone she felt strongly about that she finally got a whiff of that unmistakable scent she knew to be Slyth’s. Then, just like that, something almost taboo went through her head without even a conscious decision. ‘He smells good’
It escaped her. She barely even acknowledged it. She was so relieved he’d finally shown up that it was forgotten almost immediately after. When she first stood up, her joints were so stiff it was all she could do to keep from groaning. “Slyth” she barked, shaking the snow from her pelt. Then she saw him. First thing she noticed about him was the utter sense of loss in his eyes. She felt a twinge of sorrow for him. The second thing she noticed… ‘Green eyes…’
Again, she didn’t acknowledge this thought.
