And I'm sure there were a LOT of better projects that did not get green-lighted...and yet they DID accept such horrors. I surely hope these series won't meet any success, but recently all the things I have hoped for turned to become the opposite so...

Hmm... When is this even suppose to come out?...
I haven't seen ANY commercials for it on disney channel. NONE at all. I watch that channel a lot.
So I wonder if this will even happen.

Quote: is slated to premiere in fall 2010 So almost a year from now, hence why there's no commercials yet. As for the other "wonderful" series I have shown, it's for february : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpVZgZ9YPp8The most freaking is the comments on that video. The only thing I see is cheap animation and not a single point of interest. It's not even funny, just stupid. I don't understand nowadays kids. If they find that "awesome", we're really doomed

If they find that "awesome", we're really doomed I can't seem to wrap my head around it either...nothing about this is appealing, yet people are commenting like it's going to be this great new and innovative show...I can understand Disney getting lazy and complacent but the blatant acceptance of the laziness is the shocking part. Kids don't really know 90's and 80's cartoons and and anyone born after 1997 could possibly have never seen anything we call "good, quality animation". Are we doomed? I really don't know, give it time and maybe the next generation will speak out, if not, well...

I'm tempted to dig up any old cartoon I can find and burn them all to a DVD, just so my younger brother can actually see some quality animation. The problem is these kids don't watch it because it's good, they watch it because it's on TV. If all you put on TV was static, they'd watch it.

That is true, I used to do that all the time when I had cable, though I tried to stay on GOOD shows. But if nothing was on, I'd watch just about anything.

All the major stations on television for cartoons (Disney, Cartoon Network, Nickolodeon, etc.) have made me give up on American cartooning. The only cartooning I watch is out of Japan. Yes. The animation of my country is so bad I have resorted to watching nothing bu t anime. At least anime gets my mind going! At least it can make you love or hate the characters! At least you go on the journey with them(Even InuYasha, which has its occaisional random moments, which is okay cause it's a violent anime satisfies me ^-^) I'd like the say to America: Get it together and to Japan: Thank you for giving me some decent shows with gorgeous artwork to watch.

That's my opinion, but I find anime to be going in circles since the 2000's. Their problem is the opposite of american creations : they're not willing to change anything. Always the same types of characters / styles, always the same stories, in the end they all sound like "déjà vu". And everything I saw recently seemed like weaker efforts when compared to 80-90's ones.
A bit of freshness would be required. (there are a few exceptions, like the upcoming Professor Layton film with a fresher style, and that was a video game to start...)

Yu-Gi-Oh 5d's is good anime` Anyways,Disney has to stoop pretty low to start a series like that,I find that about as pointless as Chowder,or FlapJack, And....It makes me want to have a fish fry-with those three as the main course

Well; I'm not shocked to see this since Disney has been flirting with Flash for quite some time. This coming from a guy who watched The Buzz On Maggie; which will be remembered for the amount of times the writers thought that Oh My Bug was cool and witty. Never mind that Kit Cloudkicker, someone from The Case of The Cola Cult and Donald Drake already have said Oh My God in vain in DTVA cartoons already.
Until I see the actual cartoons (both Fish Hooks and the cartoon formally known as Kid Kinvel) in motion; I refuse to comment further. As For Buzz On Maggie; I thought it was lame.

Yes, desperate for money...and the worse is that I KNOW that these series will become famous and will bring money. Just like many other atrocious ones before them...

Just the thought of that makes me wonder:What is it in... poorly done(to say it nicely)shows like these that makes kids watch them these days? Makes me wish they'd bring back the older cartoons like Talespin, and Road Rovers those were good, and fun to watch. Also wonder how a show like Spongebob (not to offend anyone who likes it) has been running for so long.
