Name meaning: ‘Leader’
Age: pup
Gender: Male
Breed: German Shepherd/Wolf/Visla/ Brittany Spaniel
Likes: Duke likes playing with his siblings, his close friends J.D and Ace, his owners, snow, he loves his family, and looks up to his Uncle Fly Boy. He likes to get attention from his parents, and all the rest of his family. He loves to ‘help’ J.D and Ace with any job’s they’re doing or when they’re training, only he mort often get’s in the way. He likes to explore and get into anything he can get his paws on, whether it’s his or not. He loves it when spring comes and the snow goes all mushy, so he can roll in it. He also likes the wind, and the rain.
Dislikes: Duke like any typical kid, doesn’t like being told what to do no matter who, he doesn’t like it when he has to stay inside, or hasn’t got anything to do/anyone to play with. He doesn’t like the sun when it’s bright, as he prefers the colder climate. He hates anything pink or girly, and hates to be babied by anyone other than his mother.
Fears: Duke fears being left alone, or being abandoned by his family, he also fears cages, and any enclosed spaces, including things like crowds.

Personality: Duke is a very curious, energetic, and playful pup. He’s headstrong, and quite a loud, charismatic, boy. Although he loves attention and spending time with his family, he is quite independent, and prefers to do things for himself, rather than rely on others. He is stubborn and only likes to do things his way, which he is adamant is the right way. Duke is a tough boy and likes to act like the protector of the litter, which being the only male, he believes it to be his job
History: Duke was third born in his litter, he spent the first eight weeks happily with his family, he was quite attached to his mother, he loved the attention she always gave him. He enjoyed rough housing with his sisters, and anyone else who’d play.
When it was time for him to go to his new home, he had mixed feelings, he was of course upset about leaving his family behind, but excited about the though of a new family, with a new home to explore, stuff to chew on and maybe some human children to play with. It wasn’t long before a young girl; Ashleigh spotted Duke, and immediately she fell for him. She took him to his new home, where he eagerly started to explore his new surroundings. Whilst exploring he found a pile of boxes stacked up, from which he could see over the fence. Being his curious self, he climbed up to the top, and looked over into the neighbours garden.
There he saw J.D and his friend Ace, training for there jobs, as army dogs. He was impressed by what they where doing, he edged farther over the fence and eventually he fell over the side, he landed in a pile of gathered snow. J.D and Ace went over and dug him out, they found him rolling in a bout of laughter. Confused slightly, J.D helped him up, Duke stayed there for a while watching them, before Josh, J.D’s master came out and found Duke, he didn’t mind Duke being there, but it was getting late, so he took him back home.
Often Duke would go round and watch J.D and Ace training, sometimes he’d join in. He would also spend time going to see his parents, and his siblings although he’d grown more independent now. He’d often see his Uncle Fly Boy around, he liked spending time with him, and listening to everything he told him. Duke grew well, and strong thanks to the time he spent with Ace and J.D.
Future Plans: During a job, J.D got badly injured, and lost in the Iraq dessert. Ace and his master return with J.D, this master assuming J.D’s dead. Ace isn’t certain though, he knows J.D better, and so he and Duke run together and stow away on a plane, to take them to Iraq and look for J.D.
All in all, Duke grows up well, he’ll eventually return from his adventure with Ace and perhaps he’ll follow them into the army. I’ll probably find a good mate.
Other: J.D’s owner, gave Duke a Camouflage collar.
