Chris cursed under his breath as he saw the pirate look back at him. Perhaps this wouldn't be an easy victory after all. He raised hi sward and slashed it at Stunner as soon as he was close enough.

Dev had just finished off a guy when he noticed James stop out of the corner of his eye. He frowned and for a moment was distracted, thats all it took for three men to fall upon him. Dev did his best to fight them off but they were all huge. One swung a sword at his head, he felt the wind rush through his hair, but the tail end of the slash knicked him in the cheek, causing a gash that went from under his eye all the way to his temple. This startled Dev only for a moment and they fell on him. One guy pushed him back and pinned him to the mast, strangling him. Dev hated calling for help but he didn't know what else to do. "James!" he called urgently, making the man tighten his grip around Dev's neck.

Tuck mainly just observed the fighting, ducking blows from sword and daggers as one of soldiers thought it to go after the easy target. Tuck didn't even raise his sword until an older man with fading red hair spotted him and swung at the younger boy. It was as fair a fight as any, the too old againt the too young, so Tuck took the challenge and fought back, clashing his weapon against the Irishman's blow. The swards clashed against each other and Tuck was gaining the upperhand, backing the man up slowly.

"Coward!" Chris shouted at Stunner as he ran to help on of his crewmates, but his shout was lost among the clashing swords and yelling men. Chris turned just in time to find Katherine's father in a losing battle against a mere boy. Chris cursed as he rushed through a group of pirates and soldiers, ducking blows meant and not meant for him. He knew he had to get to John Flynn before the boy over-took him. Even though John was a nobleman and once the captain of the gaurd, his fighting skills were a bit rusty. He finally came upon them and raised his sword to unleash a deathly swipe at the boy.

But Tuck saw the quick glance that the nobleman flashed over Tuck's shoulder, and he turned around just in time to deflect the lethal strike. The soldier, the seeming to be captain of them with his golden badge shining in the sun, pushed down with his sword against Tuck's and brought the young pirate to his knees. Tuck knew he had to get out fast, and the only choice he had to flee. Tuck was a pro at that. He repositioned his legs and leaped to the side, causing the captain's sword to stab into the wood of the ship. Tuck scrambled to his feet and ran the other direction, almost slamming into on of the crew. Standing over James! Comprehension only took a second, and Tuck did the only deadly swipe he knew he was good at: a quick swipe across the throat. He stepped back as the pirate fell, but Tuck's foot got caught under the corpse. Tuck fell flat on his back, loosing his sword in the process. His head smacked painfully against the deck and stars flashed in his vision. When his sight cleared, Tuck saw the older man from before standing over him, the tip of his sword at Tuck's throat. Tuck gulped loudly as the older man pressed the bladed closer against Tuck's skin.
