I mainly use Mac OS X Leopard at home, but I have also used Windows XP at school. After using both, I can safely say that Mac OS X is better because it is much more stable than Windows.

Picture this scene: you are working on an important project at your school, which has computers running Windows XP. You have worked through the entire class period working on your project and are just putting in the finishing touches. Before submitting it to your teacher, you go to save it. You click the File menu, and hit save. And that's when the computer decides to crash. The whole thing freezes up just as you hit save, and it horrifyingly dawns on you that you have just lost the 75 minutes of work you put in.

"NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" you scream, "WHY!? WHY NOW?! Why not after I had saved!? WHY?!?!"

In case you were wondering, yes, this did happen to me, and it made me a little happier to be using Mac OS X at home.

You can hardly blame XP for that, if that the case then they have probably put XP on very crappy old computers.

Not necessarily; I have XP running on my Macbook. I'm pretty sure it has plenty of room to function, yet it's still relatively slow. Even Vista was a little faster before I uninstalled it. Of course, that's not to say the above-mentioned scenario has never happened on my Mac sector as well.

After I read all your comments it's time to tell you what I think about windows:

Windows sucks, vista crashes too many viruses, suprisingly so does XP my friend has over 100 viruses in all of his drives, and the computer is running XP.

I bet 90% of users on this website post stuff on a windows computer, wether they have a mac or not. Not to mention how dangerous viewing pictures on the Internet in windows. There's a kernel bug called MS 09 006 and what it does is makes it that if you view an EMF photo a virus will be sent through the kernel which will let the guy who posted it have control of the users computer. But it's not on macs.

So there MAC OS X is better than Windows
