This looks like a pretty good movie. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

I'm really happy Disney decided to do another traditional drawn movie! I really hope the movie does well and they continue to do more movies like this, just like they used to!

Yea, this movie looks like it will be really good and might be another golden age of hand-drawn movies from Disney.

Let's just wait for the official release, and cross fingers for : the movie to be good (though I'm not worried about that!) AND to be a box office success.

Considering it required a lesser budget to make, it should also require less entries to make it profitable. Also, it's the first 2D american film in theaters in 5 years (if you'll except Curious George), and it's Disney : it's more a special event than "another" CGI film.
And don't forget that many revenues are based on merchandising, too...Which will be heavy for this film.

It would be surprising to see it bomb.

I doubt that with all this hype it will bomb, and if it does then it will deal a huge blow not only to Disney in general, but it might discourage them from returning to the good old days of their movies which is like the last thing anyone would want.

I doubt it will bomb, I mean, it's our first african american princess anf main sucject character. Sure a lot of people are having issues with this, but I find it a huge milestone in the african american socieity. We get a first african america president, and now a disney princess!

Also, yes it's a traditionaly done movie, which Im sure A LOT of the word has been wanting to see. CGI has taken over and, while still stunning, I love a good, hand-drawn movie any day!

Sure this movie is'nt Lion King quality in looks, but Im sure all the hard-core animation buffs out there will NOT let this bomb!
I want more hand drawn animation too, and I hope this breaks the mold!

Actually, it might even help the film.
As I always say : bad advertisement is STILL advertisement. Try criticizing something, you'll see people getting suddenly more interested than if you hadn't said anything.

Well, I'm definately seeing this tomorrow . . . and the idea of having Tiana being Disney's first African-American princess is wonderful (Yes, I'm one of them too~!). So far, I've seen nothing but good reviews and words about it, and the trailers and clips I've seen and heard make me think it will be something everyone will just eat up. (. . . yeah, that was a joke. A horrible, punny joke. XD)

Disney, it's about darn time you returned back to traditional animation!

*yeah, I might have a review this weekend . . . both here and on Keyframe*

Hey guys! I'm actually "Minespatch", but it's nice seeing a bunch of animation lovers. Unfortunately, with the site, Tvtropes, and my Walter Foster tutorial book, I've been spoiled by the storyline, but that's fine, it won't sound as good until I actually see the production at the animation studio(which I bought tickets to the event, so if anyone wants me to post any pictures of the event and memerobillia, I will).

I was actually surprised that this time their not premiering the film at the El Capitan or Disneyland but at the animation studio. When I used to live in Los Angeles, I would go to Disney animation film premiers at the Capitan.

Also, I'll do any art requests if anyone asks. Sorry for sounding needy.
