Camo couldn't hold in the laughter. "Well, the last one there is a rotten something! Kay?" And then he leaned down, eyeing every pebble on the road. "On Go. Ready... Set... Go-" he jumped forward a little, then added, "-pher! Gopher! I didn't say Go yet!" And then he returned to the starting line, chuckling at his little joke.

Camo lowered his head to make himself streamlined and took off like a rocket. Tally wasn't ahead of him by much, so he pushed just a little harder and was now ahead. Camo enjoyed running, so this wasn't difficult for him. "Hey, are you guys hungry??" he asked eagerly. "'Cause you're about to eat my dust!" he laughed and jolted forward, moving to first place even farther.

Marcus shot off like a bullet as soon as he heard the word, "GO". He sprinted, beginning to catch up with Tally and Camo. "Oh really? Because I'm not tasting any!" he joked, then ran even faster. His legs felt like they could never stop. He was now right on their tails, and soon enough he was slightly in front of them. He laughed as he kept on going.

Camo saw the finish line, as right as he was about to jump across it, four tall, brown legs appeared in front of it and stopped him. He skidded on his bottom until he stopped right before he crashed into the legs. He slowly lifted his head and saw- a horse.
"Good day, gentlemen!" the horse said, then coughed and added, "...And lady. I was just observing your performances. My name is Tarquin."
"Performances?" Camo squeaked.
