Dev shrugged uncomfortably "I just...thought it was time to come back..." Dev mumbled, staring at his hands.

"Yeah...two questions!" Dev said and glanced at her. "First of all what did you do when I was...gone..." Dev asked, tilting his head slightly and putting his hands by his sides.

"Yeah that was my second question..." Dev said, narrowing his eyes. "So you and Nate are...together?" he asked, hating how weird his voice sounded.

"Whats wrong?" Dev asked, angling his body toward her so he could get a good look at her face. "Nate's a good guy right? I mean...I don't have to beat the living c**p out of him do I?" he asked, looking worried.

Dev narrowed his eyes "okay..." he said, giving up on the subject. "So....how've you been? I mean hows your mom and dad?" Dev asked, remembering the good 'ol days.

"Oh...I'm really sorry..." Dev mumbled and scooted a bit closer to her for comfort. "Yeah you know my family situation...I guess w'ere kinda in the same boat!" he said. "But I would like to see your dad again! he was always a cool guy!" Dev said and grinned, wondering if Shay did remember his family situation.

Dev chuckled and shook his head "its nothing!" he said cheerfully, suddenly regretting that he mentioned it. "And I would love to see you dad! me and him were quite the pair!" Dev said and laughed, putting his elbows on his knees and folding his hands.
