Are people comparing them because they have similar names? Because they are two very different films, even if they are both animated films.



Mabey people are comparing them because they are both animated dog or wolf movies. There's not many animated dog movies these days. Or, what you said, it could be the names.

Balto is my favorite character and movie. I grew up watching it unlike Bolt, so there's a stronger bond I have with the balto character/movie. Bolt's awesome, but I doubt any other dog/character can top Balto(for me).

I think we can't make a comparison with these two, of course they are dogs but Balto is a 2D film and Bolt a CGI film who use avanced technics. It's not the same story too : Bolt is an actor and not Balto, he's a "sled dog". balto is a wolf dog and I guess Bolt is a full breed dog. But in the two cases Bolt and Balto are different than the other dogs (Bolt thinks, Balto is 'cause he's a wolf dog) so that's the only the common point they have.

I chose Balto, I loved the animation much more than I could love ANY CGI cartoon. Balto was one of those flims that I watched over and over again because it was so amazing! Being based on a true story made it even better!

I watched Bolt, but to me it just didn't really stand out. Truthfully, the plotline wasn't even that unique. I think I'd get bored if I watched Bolt again. Sure he's cute, but he doesn't have much else going for him.

Balto by far. But I also like Bolt , but I Like Balto better.
