"So...I think first mabey we should rustle up some grub, and then do whatever you want too, how 'bout it?" Blue asked. "I even stached somthing for us." Blue smiled. He bent down into some bushes, and dragged out a small bag of dog treats, half full. "Hope you like bacon flavor." He laughted.

"Oh Blue, you are so sweet!" giggled Naira. "How did you know I loved bacon?"
She gnawed on one of the treats. "They are delicious! I haven't had one of these since..since I was a puppy I think."
After the two had finished the bacon treats. Naira inched a little closer to him and nuzzled him gently.

I have to stop doing that, but its so hard not to..but I don't want him to feel uncomfortable around me...

will you just admit you like him?! scolded the voice

I will admit that I would like you to shut the heck up Naira threatened the voice in her head.

"How about a walk in the woods?" she quickly suggested before the voice could reply.

"Okay then, There's a nice trail I was told about from Luke, who heard it from a friend, and It ends up at a opening with a clift that has a erfect view of the norther lights." Blue smiled. "I hear it's a heck of a place." he smiled. He lead her to a small trail. "It's kinda long, but the ending is great.." Blue smiled. "Promise." He said winking at her.

Naira winked back "I don't mind long walks" she explained,especially if the long walks are with you...
The two started up the trail. An owl hooted eerily somewhere in the trees.
"I have never seen the northern lights before, but the old lady likes to tell me about them. But I'm sure it'
ll be real cool to see them in real life."
Somewhere across the hills a lonely wolf howled its remorse to the moon.
"Have you ever met a wolf?" Naira asked Blue.

"No...But remember Yonic? He's part manned wolf, but it's very small...Luke's friends Torn Is a forth wolf, but I have never met him though." Blue exclamied. "But I don't fear them, I think they're as good as and of us dogs." Blue smiled.

The wolf howled again. "I wonder..." Blue started. Then he howled. After a bit, the howl was returned, followed by another. "Look's like the wolf found a friend." Blue laughted.

Naira chuckled. "I think we have a little bit of wolf in all of us," she said, remembering the dog fights she was in.

The wolf's howls grew fainter as the pair walked further into the forest. Most of the trees blocked out the moonlight making it very dark.
"Kinda spooky isn't it?" Naira said in amusement.

"Yeah...Dark and black...I have a brother named Black..Saw him the other day." Blue smiled. A bat flew above, then another. "Bats...kinda like a friend to me...and a horrid memory of what happend...to both of us.." Blue sighed. Suddenly the path broke into colorful lights. "That's it...the northern lights....only seen them a few times..." Blue smiled.

"Blue and Black," Naira chuckled. "I would say its quite fitting ^^"
Naira ducked her head as another bat almost flew into her. "I have bad memories about my past too." She began but then she cut herself off as she was engulfed with colors.
She gasped. "I-its beautiful.." she said in awe. "it takes your breath away.."she whispered. She went to sit at the edge of the cliff. "I'm awe struck..."

"I know right? Gets me everytime..." Blue smiled. He closed his eyes and stretched out into the wind. "Ahhhhh. Makes you feel like a bird." Blue wispered. The white snow glisined with color.

"Everytime I come down here I think of what Yonic said when he first saw them. He was from florida and had never seen anything like it, and thought it was aliens." Blue chuckled.

"A-Aliens?" Naira bit her lip to keep from laughing. "Well I suppose if you lived in Florida.. but gee thats funny!" She burst out laughing.

She watched the lights dance across the sky. "I feel like I'm on top of the world." She let the wind blow in her face and whip her fur around. Naira's tail wagged.

"He best feeling, rather than feeling like your a
slave to humans..." Blue growled under his breath.
"But now....free....." Blue smiled. Blue lied down in the glisining white powdery snow. Suddenly, as if Destiny was watchin them, and light snow began to fall. Just enought to dot them white in spotes.

Blue stuck his tougne out. A single snowflake fell on his nose.
"Nothing like it." He smiled. "Snow is perfect, every
single flake is differnt but the same. Like us." He added.

"The feeling of freedom is like nothing else." Agreed Naira. "We have gone through something lots of other dogs haven't Blue, and it makes us appreciate this freedom more."
The light snow began to fall. "Its so magical." She breathed.
Snowflakes landed on her nose. "You are right Blue. I would rather be like one of these snowflakes, unique and beautiful in its own way instead of some wierd clone." She lay down next to Blue.

"Snow flakes....." Blue yawned. "Hey...I got somthing for you....Be right back." Blue smiled. He jumped to his feet and went back down the path, then came back. "Um...here..." He said. He pulled a silver and blue ribbon from behnd him. "It was my mom's.....I was saving it for her for whenever she came back, but I figured this was more important." He said lieng the ribbon beside her. "I think it would look good on you, is you want it." He blushed.

"Oh Blue.." Naira breathed, "Its beautiful, I love it!" She slipped the ribbon over her head. "Thank you, it was kind of you to think of me." She smiled and nuzzled him in thanks. "Whenever I wear it, I'll think of you," she added. Her tail wagged.

"Your Welcome...." He smiled. "It's getting kinda late....Want me to walk you home?
Your lady might miss you..." Blue said. The moon was high in the sky, and it was getting cold.
"I guess I could see you tomarrow..." Blue sighed.
