Aaron smiled and turned to Dakota, "I guess a basement would be better then a kennel I guess. Sorry Gail." He wagged his tail, "Sure, I haven't eaten since two nights ago. And I'm nine months" He said before Buddy ran off. He liked these dogs, grateful that they where nice and welcoming. "I guess you might all be wanting to know how I ended up with three legs. I could tell you after a nice meal if you want to." He told them.

Dakota smiled at Aaron as she started to walk with him. "I think it's none of our business what happen to your leg." She said looking at him.

Buddy returned after a short walk with his owner Marie. He was carrying, in his mouth, a bag of chicken wings. "I brought food!" He exclaimed. "These are a little bit old, so my owner gave them to me. I guess we dogs don't care how old our food is. So Aaron, you gonna tell us your story?"

He set the bag down and bit it open. "Dig in, guys!" He grabbed a wing and laid down, gnawing on it. "Umff Yummy," he said with his mouth full.

Aaron looked back at Dakota, "I think I should tell you guys, so I can get it off my chest." He smiled at buddy and reached for the food, "These are really good! Thank you Buddy!" He filled his stomach fast since it was small from not eating in such a long time. That was a good thing too, his friends could be fed as well. "Well, when I was a small pup, I wound up on the streets and was hungry. So I wanted to get some food from this shop. I reached for some sausages and heard a shout. The next second I was in the alley beside the shop, one of my legs missing. So a cat found me and helped me heal until I was well enough to walk. So I left the town and arrived here." He said, feeling suddenly sleepy.

"Wow, a cat?" Buddy asked. "Hah, Marie has a cat, two of them actually. The yellow one, Cinder, isn't so nice to me. But that's not how it is with all cats. The other one Thomas, you could call him my friend."

Buddy stood up and chased at a flock seagulls near the water's edge. The birds exploded into a cloud of wings and screeched scoldings at Buddy.

He returned to the group, and found Aaron looking sleepy. "Aaron, are you tired?" He asked. Buddy, however, was hyper. "I'm all crazy 'cause I stole some of Marie's mother's coffee. Caffiene!" He ran around in circles. "Well, Aaron," he said, "There's a dog house in my back yard. If you want to spend the night there, just go in. I'll leave the gate open. Seeya, guys!" He turned and dashed off, making zig-zaggy footprints in the sand.

((I thought they were on the beach. I may be wrong, but that's where I imagined them. ))

Dakota just layed down and allowed her head to rest on her paws. She yawned a little bit when she saw Aaron drifting off to sleep. She nudged him. "Come on this way." She said walking towards her house.

Gail sighed and started making her way home.

"Hello Gail" said Togo trotting up to her "Want some dinner?".

Gail glared at Togo "Go away Togo" she snapped.

"Oh,so your taste runs more towards three legs" he sneered.

Gail stormed off sourly.

Aaron followed Dakota. "So, this town sure is nice. Well, at least some of it is" He said, remembering Togo. Shaking his head he concentrated on the ground in front of him. Carefully wobbling around the pebbles and jumping over the rocks. He looked up at the sky to see the Northern Lights sparkling over head, even though the sun had not gone down all the way.

Togo stormed off in an equally bad mood,He walked straight into Aaron.His lightning blue eye stayed where it was but he looked at Aaron with his brown one (The one that works) "I thought I told you to stay out of my way Three legs" he growled.His hackles raised and he growled at Aaron.

Gail walked on lost in her thoughts,This new dog's nice she thought "Well,nicer than Togo any way"

Dakota smiled and nodded. "Yes it's nice but to lonely." She said as they walked threw the basement doors that lead from outside to inside. She walked up to a huge pillow that to sleep for dogs.

Togo heard Gail "If you dont mind Dot,Im trying to speak to thr- Aaron here" he said with a steeley hint to his voice.He tried not to growl at Dakota but he had an urge to.

Aaron growled at Togo and lifted his head. "Pleasure." He said as he walked right past Togo, following Dot into the basement bellow. "This sure is a nice pillow." Aaron said as he plopped down on the pillow and soon began to fall asleep.

Togo growled,His temper couldnt stand the strain.He lunged for Aaron but missed "Get out here you coward" he snarled,He lowered his head and growled.

GAil walked home smiling to herself and ate some food out of her dish.It was freshly cooked chicken and herbs,Gail knew this was only because her owner had read an article on the adverse affects of supermarket dog food.But she wasnt complaining.

Buddy let out a low growl at Togo, even though he wasn't sure just how mean a golden retriever could look. "Why do you have to be so mean?" he asked in a frusturated tone. "We're trying to make friends with Aaron, not 'Three-legs', and you don't have to ruin it, Togo." With that, he turned and trotted home for the last time that night. To sleep.

Togo Tackled Buddy before he even moved an inch.He bit hard into the younger dogs shou.der "Watch your mouth" he snarled.Togo kicked Buddy in the side sending him sprawling into a wall.Then Togo laughed "Go make friends with three legs!See if I care" he laughed sadisticly "But tell him if he's in town next weak I will show him the meaning of pain"
