Grhaeh Lit wrote: They could be good poems, but the fact that nearly everyone ( and i mean everyone in this topic )of these is reminiscent of evanescnce, or something to do with numbness and pain. Maybe you could try challenging yourself. Try writing a happy poem, or a poem thats not about your mortal rejection from grace.
XD, these sad and painful poems are the easiest to write, so theres no wonder there are so many. It's just kinda boring seeing only this kind of poem though.
Hmm...I can try... I think... But that poem wasn't nescecarily supposed to be sad...

(Here is my stupid attempt at making a happy poem!! And when I use the word, I, in my poems, I'm not talking about ME)
I wake up in the morning,
To the bright and smiling sun.
Getting out of bed, the new day has begun.
Everything is awake and alive,
And happy at that.
For this I am happy,
And that is a fact!
Ok, it's done...That's all I could think up... And it's not what I was wanting... But oh well...Xx

thanks but no its not something that happend i wrote it while i was thinking of lost loves
heres another one i wrote:
It was I cold winters night you and I were pulling a sled
We were crossing the street with our owner yelling hike and mush, there was a car that could see us I know the driver could but before my eyes lights flashed the car didn’t stop it just kept going our owner was killed instantly you suffered then died and I was only covered with slush I walked over to you and you were on the brink of death,
I sat beside you until you last breath,
I ran to town with my heart beating its way out of my chest.
Jumping and whimpering as if to say “help me” but no one would listen no one was nice, everyone was mean they were not like you or our owner they were like the rest unloving, uncaring all they cared about clothes and jewelry not a single ounce of help “who needs them there cruel” I thought I ran to were you and the owner lay and I sat down beside you trying to keep you warm but then a bullet hit me in the back every thing was beginning to get dark now I wished you were here for me by my side
Now my heart is slowing down and my stomach is tide
Why, why, why couldn’t we be at home instead of here dead and dieing? How come we were killed? We never did anything to anyone. But now with my that breathe on earth I know I’ll see you soon and we’ll be out of this pain, now it’s dark now the air is thinner that person had to shoot so he could be the winner. I close my eyes and the pain is gone. I wake up in a wonderful place and see you and owner; I run up to you and bark haply knowing that were not on earth but in Heaven.

Hmm, nice, but you made a few spelling errors and usually that isn't how you set up a poem.
('Nother nameless poem...)
Life is like a mystery...
Somethings we can and can't predict...
Epic moments are lost in time, but known as history.
As we go through life,
Many things we will find inturn,
Sometimes we may fight,
Yet still we will learn...
Life is something that was given to us...
And if not chosen it could be different...
But sometimes we are so ungrateful it's ridiculous,
And when we we are accused we say we didn't...
Often we are so ignorant as to lie,
And the truth is denied...
Some put them self to death,
As they comit suicide...

('Nother one..I just really wanna write poems recently...)
When we are broken hearted,
And loose our wings,
We mope and wine,
And hate every-thing.
When we get so lost in ourselves,
We forget how it started,
We often Rebel,
And mourn out the song, of the broken hearted.
But don't give up, don't get your hopes to low...
Yet don't get your hopes to high...
Put on a smile, and happyness will show,
Soon, let your heart fly...
Please don't let your last option,
Be to commit suicide...
Open up your eyes,
Keep an open mind...
And soon in life you will find,
HAPPYNESS.
That's my poem....
(And another one...)
Don't let things drag you down,
Always wear a smile,
And rarely a frown.
Try your best to be happy,
And happy with yourself,
Even when your days are crappy,
Don't place yourself on the shelf.
Be your own person, be strong,
Do what you can,
Right your wrongs...
Life is only what you make of it...
(And another one! )
Look at the trees,
And the mountains that stand, so tall,
And the birds and bees.
Look at the many leaves that fall.
Look at the valleys, volcanoes, and rivers,
Listen to the wind that chills us into shivers.
Be happy about nature...
And glad of the glistening streams...
The last resort is never failure...
Though it may seem...

Those are so awesome, Blackwolf!! I love your rhythmic flow and use or words!! Really grabs the readers' attention!!
I just rented a book called "Here There be Dragons" by Jane Yolen, and he has come up with some of the most fabuous poems I've ever read!! Here are some:
(Just a few short verses, but really soothing)
A Dragon's Lulluby
Firelight and firebright, Bank your dragon flames tonight. Close your eyes and still your roar, Sleep is here, my little saur. Hiss, Hiss, Hush.
(Frome THE PIT DRAGON TRILOGY, my favourite book series)
Dragon Night
Little flame mouths, Cool your tongues. Dreamtime starts, My furnace lungs.
Rest your wings now, Little flappers, Cave mouth calls To dragon nappers.
Night is comming, Bank your fire. Time for dragons To retire.
Hiss. Hush. Sleep.
(The last, and I personally think the best poem ever written!!)
Here There Be Dragons
The map tells sailors where to sail. The decorations: sun and whale, The warning spelled in letters pale: HERE THERE BE DRAGONS!
The well-known routes upon the map Should cause the sailors no mishap, But north-northwest there is a gap: AND HERE THERE BE DRAGONS!
The continents are not drawn true, The ocean waves outlined in blue, Sea serpentine provides the clue WHERE THERE BE DRAGONS.
Yet year by year the ships have passed Through oceans wide and oceans vast, And sailors stared atop the mast FOR WHERE THERE BE DRAGONS.
No scales of blue and jaws of green Are by these modern sailors seen. Do you think that this might mean HERE THERE BE NO MORE DRAGONS?
I'd like to hope, I'd like to pray The dragons have just gone...away... And will return some other day, THEN HERE THERE WILL BE DRAGONS.
AGAIN.
-----------
That poem really is touching to me. Very precious. I have it stuck to my binder for school.

Wow! You're right! Those are really beautiful poems...And the last one especially...The way the author has all the words rhym in one...um, whatever it's called... You know instead of paragraphs, those things you use to set up a poem. And thankyou, BTW.
