http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/sleddogs.htmAge: 2
Position: Left Swing Dog - but she'll take whatever she can get
Personality: Iggy is a very hard dog to describe, her personality has changed so much in only two short years of her life but she really has made some drastic changes in those times. When she was very young she was extremely joyful and energetic, always the one to start a game and always smiling, nothing seemed to tear her down, she never seemed to ever be in a bad mood. But after an abusive experience with her owner (explained in History) Iggy changed, she realized that she could only trust one person and that was herself, she never talked, never showed emotion, ane ecspecially never smiled or laughed. She wouldn't hesitate to snap at another dog or even start a bloody fight, she wasn't scared of hurting anyone and basically became a totally different dog. But after getting away from this abusive home she began to change, she made new friends in Kenta and a young wolf and became more of her old self again. Every now and then she would have anger spasms and get the urge to fight but Kenta would be quick to correct her, she would never be the same joyful pup that she used to be but she was not more happy and carefree. Every now and then she would even become really hyper and optimistic and cheer everyone up but she will never have the same carefree attitude that she used to.
History Prior to team: (THIS IS NOT UP TO ME! They didn't just fall from the sky people!) *I apologize for the lenght*
Iggy was born into a litter of five, she being the second oldest with four brothers and no sisters. Right from the start Iggy was tough and a fighter, she would wrestle with her brothers and didn't even act like a girl, there was no doubt that she was going to be extremely tough. As soon as the pups were old enough, all of her brothers got adopted first but it wasn't until long that a man came asking for a strong female dog to be left swing dog for his sled team. Iggy was overjoyed to be a sled dog and was really excited to go to her new home. But as soon as she got there that changed instantnly. Iggy was thrown into a small dog crate in a tiny dark basement where she stayed for three days with only a bowl of old water. After awhile her owner, Harry, took her out and harnessed her up to the sled with all of his other dogs. Iggy was the youngest, the smallest, and the only girl. But Harry didn't seem to care about that, he told the dogs to go and they took off running at full speed. Since Iggy wasn't even fully grown yet she got dragged along with the sled since her legs weren't strong or long enough to keep up. After her "training" Iggy got thrown back into the crate. Thats how the routine went everyday until she was almost a year old and fully grown. Thats when she could finally run and keep up with the rest of the team. After that things began to change for the better, even though Iggy became extremely skinny and unhealty from not being fed properly, Harry put her outdoors in a large dog run area where she now lived. She loved sitting in the corner of the pen and watching the woods where she could see rabbits, deer, and the occasional wolf run by. One day a handsome wolf stopped at the edge of the woods and stared at Iggy until nightfall. After all the other dogs were brought inside and Iggy left out, the wolf approached her. He stopped about ten feet away and introduced himself as Kenta. They became instant friends and met each other every night for about a week. One night Kenta asked Iggy to run away with him and she instantly agreed. The afternoon that Iggy would be freed, Harry came out and cornered her. He took her back into the basement and shoved her into the now tiny crate. There he left her with no food or water for five days. When she finally saw Harry come down his first words to her were "oh there you are, I forgot about you..." Iggy was outraged and lunged at Harry as soon as he opened her crate. She went right for his neck but caugh his arm instead, sinking her teeth into his flesh. Harry screamed in pain and reached for the bone dry water dish in her crate. He bashed it over Iggy's head, knocking her out and began dragging her outside. He threw her beaten, skinny, and bloody body out into the snow and planned on leaving her there. After night fall Kenta was by her side instantly, he helped her up and ran out into the woods with her on his back. As soon as Iggy was better they left, gratefully leaving Harry and her home behind. Kenta planned on finding his old pack and convincing the alpha his father to let Iggy join, but his fathers pack was long gone. So they wandered in the woods, just to the two of them for about 6 months until they stumbled across a young wolf (for now unnamed). They agreed to let the young one join there small pack without hesitation. Over the time that Iggy and Kenta had spent together Kenta had fallen in love with Iggy, but sadly Iggy didn't know so she didn't feel the same way about Kenta. One day they were getting close to a town when Iggy saw a sled team running by. A sudden feeling of homesickness overtook Iggy and she felt that she needed to get back to civilization. After hours of arguing Kenta gave in, and led Iggy to the town that they were close to. But Kenta never left, he was always in the woods near the town and even coming into town every now and then to visit Iggy. Thats how Iggy found Indy and asked to join his team.
How they feel about being a sled dog: Iggy loves being a sled dog more than anything else in the world. She enjoys running so much and feels like she could run for days without stopping. The only thing that wasn't enjoyable for her was her old owner so she really hasn't gotten a chance to know what being a sled dog is really like, thats why she wanted to join Indy's team.
How they feel about Indy: Iggy kind of has mixed feelings towards Indy. She hates the fact that he's a slacker and doesn't get how he can't love being a sled dog. She thinks hes so lucky that he is actually on a team that she gets to mad at him sometimes. But she also admires the fact that he wants more than anything to be a police dog and would never make fun of him for it, escpecially since she knows the feeling of what it means to chase a dream. Plus being with him all the time she can't help but have strong feelings toward him, but she would never tell anyone, not even Kenta, and tries so hard not to show that she likes, and maybe even loves him. But Kenta can kinda pick up on it from how much she talks about him and is extremely jealous about it. She often teased Indy though in a friendly way and always acts kindly toward him.
Other: Iggy and Kenta are still best friends and meet every chance they can. Iggy can't help but feel sad that she abandoned him but Kenta tells her that he doesn't mind, as long as he knows that shes okay. Kenta would never leave Iggy and so he'll never truely find a pack unless Iggy agrees to leave with him again.
