These dogs were quick to react, and that was a good thing. Bolt inwardly grinned as the farm dogs gathered one by one in front of him in a semi-circle, eagerly awaiting his plan of action. Aside from the dogs that have already been at his side before he called for them, Nicole was the first to bound back up the road with a determined glint in her eyes. She must have already figured out what his intentions were to gather everyone so urgently. Although everyone was quiet as they made their way to vacant spots in front of the war dog, it didn't take long until someone spoke up.
Umm...so, what are we supposed to be doing...Bolt?"His thick neck turned towards tess, a young female border collie that he has yet to meet. Bolt thought he made himself perfectly clear what he planned on doing in calling everyone to gather for a quick meeting, but he figured some dogs were slower than others. He wasn't meaning to be so judemental, he was brought up in a world where everyone knew the same thing.
Bolt only glanced at the female with a blank stare, although deep inside he could hardly contain himself. His chest was filled with a burning passion to sink his teeth into the men whom took Hannah, and he was sure the rest of the dogs felt the same way, if not more. He hadn't known Hannah for an hour before she was taken, so he could only imagine, or at least try to, how the farm dogs must have been feeling; although losing his soldier partner created the same effect in breaking his heart. Before he was able to address everyone, Arrow trudged towards the group, with a hopeless expression smeared across his face.
"Those men knew what they were doing,I can't pick up a trail."A slow nod was all that was given to the young dog's report, although the war dog already knew it was impossible to find a scent when the atmosphere was thick with humidity. There must be another way to track those curs. The tire tracks left behind in the dirt road would prove useful towards the city, but after that there would be no tracks to follow, as the dirt road stops at the end of hte drive way towards the front of the ranch property.
'They couldn't have gone too far, they may need gas when they reach the city so we may have a chance to...' Bolt thought to himself, quickly finding it rediculous. It was a slim chance that his hypothesis could be correct, but why pass the chance?
Suddenly his thoughts were inturrupted by a black and white dog Bolt had never seen before. He was a tad curious as to what he was, and, especially, why he was so late showing up with all that has happened so far.
"Sorry for being late,"The ivory canine glared at the McNab for a moment, looking him over and making a mental list as to who this guy was and what his personality was. So far, Bolt already felt annoyed.
"It's fine. But don't do it again." His voice was stern and strong, but calm and a bit understanding. He wasn't about to punish anyone he just met, but now that everyone was accounted for-
Unexpectedly, Bolt's lips curled up in a snarl. not everyone was present, and he knew exactly who was missing, whether he was staying away purpously or not.
'Theron' He growled to himself, making his agitation readable to all who were present. He turned towards Nikki, his eyes blazing with anger. He didn't mean to look so menacing towards her, or anyone else whom were waiting to hear his plan, but hewas looking for some answers. Why was this guy steering clear of everyone, even his friends? Bolt was aloof about everyone's ties between one another, but he quickly straightened his face before clearing his throat.
"Thank you, for those of you who have gathered. This should be a thing of impulse, for if anyone calls for a meeting, everyone must gather around the one whom called. And, no more late arrivals, for if you are late you could have missed vital information about this mission. Am I clear?" He looked about the faces that were looking up at him, expecting everyone to nod.
"Now, as for a course of action," bolt continued, dismissing Theron's absence,
"we will go after the van, even if it means we die trying. If you're willing to save Hannah, you will listen to my orders and you will give it all you've got. I don't want lazy curs tagging along. If you have the slightest idea that you don't want to risk your life saving the human you love, I suggest you get up and leave now."His tone was demanding and strong, but he meant what he said. Laziness is weakness, after all.
