Sorry for that...but...Spirit was such a good movie! And seeing all these new sequels, it makes me think that soon Spirit will have a sequel... Yeah, I have to say that a sequel to Spirit would really ruin it
yes, most sequels ruin the rating. just like Lady and the Tramp. the second one was a stinker. (i'm sorry if any of you do like it, but i don't)

Weird. I noticed that too Maybe Innoko knows a magic spell to break language barrier? Maybe. I think I saw another shaman in the trailer, but it still doesn't make any sense. SimbasGuard wrote: This looks like it might be more of a comedy. I'm not surprized that Joaquin Phoenix isn't returning as the Kenai's voice, But I like Jason Marsden(Adult Kovu in Lion King 2), so that won't be to big of a change. I'm looking forward to this movie That does suck. But Jason Marsden's voice does have a "Kenai-like" sound to it. I couldn't tell the difference really. The fact that the sequel is nothing more than a comedic love story is a bit . . . I dunno, overdone? But if Disney does it right, I'm sure it'll be a good DTV sequel ( that actually is a sequel. Hurrah.) SimbasGuard wrote: Dreamworks is the company that made Spirit. They have never made a Direct To Video Sequel, so I don't thik They will start now.
I hope they don't make any sequels. They have, however, used the same style for a couple of their films (one of them was a DTV release, but it wasn't a sequel - it was the "Joseph" film, which has the same style as "The Prince of Egypt").
Maybe Dreamworks knows better than Disney about making sequels for theatrical release first? And making them in really good quality too? Because their sequels are mainly released in theaters first (Shrek 2, *coming soon* Ice Age 2, Shrek 3, *in the near future* Madagascar 2 . . . oy vey.)

They will soon release a sequel to "Emperor's new groove", a sequel (midquel) to "Fox and the hound", a midquel to "Bambi", and a third sequel for "Cinderella" and "The little mermaid". So no, Disney is not at all giving up with the DTV sequels, on the contrary.
What? A tv series for brother bear? Hoew would that work? And the little mirmaid and cinderella can definatly be left alone in my opinion. Yech!

Goodness, why can't they make up their minds?
Well, I liked the Bambi 2 trailer version (with Jason Marsden), but perhaps the new Kenai will do a better job (or just as good of a job) . . .
Oh yeah, Ultimate Disney has the DVD cover art for BB2 up also (also they have the new covers for the new edition of Dumbo and the SE release of Scamp's Adventure - I think they suck really.)!

DreamWorks definitely knows how to do two things better than Disney: 1.) Animate 2.) Make sequals

True that, true that, Suka.
Plus they can make better 3-D animation than anything Disney could ever do. *sigh* Disney just should have stuck with their traditional 2-D animation.
But still, I think BB2 still has promise, as did Bambi (and the Great Prince of the Forest) II did. But after that, I think it'll be over for the sequel dept.

I agree, but I doubt it will stop with the second one. I think it depends on how much of the greenbacks they get rolling in: Big hits get sequels, small ones don't, just like Balto
