"We don't go to the Tomb." said Trident. "We never go down there." he said. "Anyway, I live in an abandoned subway tunnel, what about you?"

Scott nodded. "This'll work better." he said, pulling out his gun. He aimed at the side at an angle it would go straight up and not have any risk of hitting the man. He fired like this three times, shooting through the dumpster and getting a lot of cuss words from the man inside.

"Yes sir." said one of the men. "The other gang saw it too." he said. "I heard someone saw it had something to do with the tomb we're looking for, a curse!" he said. "Considering your a vampire, curses aren't exactly out of the picture."

Trident nodded. "Your welcome in my home." he said. "Though I hope your willing to eat squirles and such." he said. "Yeah, I eat meat, weird huh?"

"Sir, someone shot at it and it only got mad." said the man. "Then again, it is solid stone, hard stone too." he said. "It won't be easy."

Scott nodded. "Still, what could roll solid steel like this?" he asked, he heard the man yell monster repeatedly. "Monster? This guy probably works with a vampire on a daily basis." he said. "What would a guy like this think a monster is? Godzilla?"

"As long as its meat, I'm a carnivore." said Trident. "There's my home." he said, pointing to an old Subway entrice in Central Park. "Its not much but its comfortable."

"Statue...come to life." said the man, in shock. "Wings...a living statue."

Scott listined. "A living statue?" he asked. "Normally I'd say he was high but something made the rest of the gang members run and leave a lot of drugs behind and was able to bend solid steel and roll it."

"I suggest higher caliber weapons." said the gang member talking to Slash.

Trident lead her down into his home, it wasn't well fursnished but it was suitible for him. "I just need a friend and I'll be fine."

"Lets get him out of there, maybe he'll be more likely to talk." said Scott. "But he said a living statue, weird."

The man sighed. "If we must." he said. "As long as they don't stab us in the back." he said. "But what is this thing? Do you know for real what it is?"

Trident smiled. "I'd like that." he said, sitting down. "The last company I had was a long...long time ago." he said, looking at a normal, non-living stone Gargoyle in the place. It looked distinctly female and there was a hole dug in the chest.

"Then again we've got two vampiric gang leaders loose in the streets." said Scott. "Which is why I have to carry theses around." he said, pulling out some stakes.

"Yes sir." said the man. "So how exactly can we kill it?"

"This statue was my mate." said Trident. "When a Gargoyle dies, their corpse turns into a statue." he said. "I kept her body to remember her." he said. "Did you notice something strange when I showed you my heart?"

"Not sure but better safe than sorry." said Scott. He pulled out garlic, a cross, a bottle of holy water, and several other anti-vampire objects. "So I carry all of this stuff."

"What do we do if it attacks us again?" asked the man.

"You're correct, I do have two hearts." said Trident. "One of my hearts...is hers." he said, looking to the body of his mate. "If I get the right jewels, I can fuse them with her heart to make a whole one and resurrect her." he said. "And my species." he said. "Gargoyle's have lots of children so we could easily revive our kind and Gargoyles were created to defend the human race from...the darker aspects of creation, the true monsters." he said. "So if my kind are brought back, we can protect you humans."

Scott nodded. "I've got silver bullets."

The man recoiled in fear. "Ok, I just don't want to get done in by a living statue when I'm saying drugs."

Trident's wings folded up. He run his hand over the statue's beak. "I miss her so much." he said, a tear running down his face. "She was everything to me...that's why I'll never let that thing we trapped down in the tomb get out." he said. "It took her from me, it took my species from me."

"I know what you're thinking but you never know." said Scott. "We might run into werewolves sooner or later."

"Fine." said the man. "I'll just get a more powerful gun for protection."
