I thought it was amusing. The joke itself? I'm first to admit, it was -lame-. Possibly one of the worst in history.
Though our lack of communication in the run up led to us having nothing and therefore coming up with something last minute which the mods who were online ran with.

The point of the joke wasn't "lololol we're locking all the topics" but "Balto Source is to be closed for a couple of weeks hence no one can add to the problem". Locking topics was just another way of showing it. (seriously, how many people who come onto the forum are guaranteed to see the announcement topic? Topics locked = "omg what's goin on?")

Again - apologies for the lame joke.

(I didn't even know about Mighty's BS Beta idea until she posted it up - that's what communication regarding April 1st was like.)

I'm glad you posted as well. I do still think locking the topics was the problem with the prank but I do respect you guys didn't have time to think of a good prank. Just hope you come up with something better next year that doesn't interfer with the threads. As I said, I do respect everyones opinions, that's why I made this thread so we could discuss it in a respectful atmosphere. I thank everyone for abiding by that, I apprciate it.

First of all, Godzillawolf, I must commend you for handling things in the manner that you are! Most [not all, but most] members have not yet reached such a maturity and would try and resort to flaming. But here you are determined to keep things peaceful and calm. More people should model after you. You have my utmost respect for that.

As for me, many people all ready know I thought it was pretty funny. Not so much locking all the boards but people's response. Then again all my close friends here know I have a pretty skewed since of humor. XD

Thank you, I didn't do this to get complaments but thanks for giving me one. I just thought we'd have a more enjoyable time discussing this in this way and that disrespect tended to cause flames.

I understand your perspective, that's probably what the mods intended to happen. Though of course not everyone has the same personailty but that's something they didn't have time to take into account.

Most handled themselves well elsewhere, only a few didn't.
