OKAY I'm Trying to say the people that print, trace, and scan then say, They drew it from srcatch, You all are tking it all wrong. Now to you get my point? And this was never about Favs! I was talking about the people whop look and draw, or draw on thier own, the NEW users, and they get no favs, then the people who trace, and say they drew it, get 20 favs, this is NOT about me! This is for the YOUNG users, and I don't mind if people disagree, but "Oh you just want favs" is not disagreeing, it's just flat out mean, to many people asume stuff on the site.

I realy just want mods to pay special attintion to them, that's all, so can everyone on this topic stop fighting with eachother? Were all cleared up now, right?

You need to elaborate more on that. "Paying special attention" can range from a mod merely saying "Okay, this is a traced screenshot. -pass-" to deleting the pic entirely.

okay jeez don't have a cow. I just wanted to make sure thats what I was hearing. its not, so I have my answer.

How do you know they traced? They could've copied from a screenshot that was on their computer screen and drawn it onto a piece of paper. And even if they did trace, why does it bother you so much? Tracing doesn't make good artists in the long run, so even if they have 20 faves, don't get so worked up about it. Sheesh.

If I trace, I don't use it as my art work, I use it so I can get a better veiw on how to draw a Certain character.
And when I don't trace, but look at a certain image, it looks a lot like the oringal, it's not easy to tell what's tracing and what's not.
You shouldn't be so fast to acuse.

Scenario 1(hypothetically):

person 1: "Its not right that people get credit for traced randers that they post in their gallery!"
person 2: "Wait, you can't tell if it is traced or not...How can you acuse them of it if you don't know for sure???"

So, they both have a good point, but traced or not, it is still POSE THEFT. When you send in a picture(not render) it specifically says that you can't send in pictures using the exact same pose(and seriously, its easy to tell--Balto characters are very prominent in body structurse) as other artists. So, traced or not, theft is still quite apparent and visible. Any opposing veiws on this? You are welcome to disagree...

Scenario 2(again, hypothetically):

person 1: "Newer artists who actually TRY and make their own pic(even if it sucks) should get more credit than these people who cheated and traced a screenshot."
person 2: "Pardon me? It takes a lot of time and effort to trace, and they should be commended for that anyways!"

Or..

person 2: "But most people learned that way to draw themselves! Tracing is a very efficient way to train oneself to draw."

Ok...look, its been stated before, and there is not really an opposing argumet against it; go ahead and trace for practice. AT HOME. But don't even try to send it in to BaltoSource...its just not...classy. You would want to make a good name for yourself by sending in work that you did by yourself, not by sending in hackneyed, traced poses from a screen-cap. I mean, what do you expect people to say? "Oh, wow! Great picture!! You can hardly even see the lines from the screenshot anymore! Good effort! *thumbs up*" or "Woah!!! Sweet! But um...haven't I seen this before, like in a Balto movie? Ah, nevermind, those Balto animators can't tra-er, I mand draw half as good as you can buddy. ;D". T_T Puh-leez.


**Now, we are talking about FAN ART here, not renders(AKA, Fan Images) just to be clear here.**

Yeah, I understand. But I'm just saying that in the future, the people who trace aren't going to be the better artists in the future anyway. More faves doesn't necessarily mean better art anyway. Just think- in half a year, maybe those who've worked hard will have 60 faves, and those who trace will have those same 20.

Anyway, I do understand everybody's opinion, but really there not really a way to stop it. But WWM is right, if you're training yourself by tracing, don't upload it. Of course, mods could crack down on it- but maybe some people like to look at other people's traced work? Hence the faves?

The point is, if you don't like something, don't look at.

PERFECT WWM! That's what I'm trying to say, people who trace, when all of there other pics they drew themself is in a totaly differnt style, like You draw a skinny dog with small paws, head more triangular and a long body, then you trace a screenshot and it comes out todaly differnt, it's good pratice, yes, but if you going to post it at all, you show but it in Images or say you traced it in fanart, not have a todaly differnt stlye, say you drew it, then the next pic you put is back to your old style, that's how oyu tell it apart all you other people who are asking me that, hope all this clears everything up.

yes i see what your saying but hey, dont worry about it. Its not like it matters right? If people are faving them and their tracing well then let them-we both know its not true artwork anyway
