"Well, I don't know," Suki said. But maybe with Titan around, he could take over the care of the pup. She didn't want to get angry and accidently hurt Luke. Maybe having another dog around would be helpful. "On second though, Luke might like the company."
"Oh my gosh. That's terrible," Jess said. "I used to live as a wolf outside of town, but I came here to look for my father and brother. I was told they moved on though."

Luke finished eating and cuddled up to Suki again.
"They hurt me really bad inside, you know?" asked Jarret. "So I'm...I'm afraid if I get another family of owners, they'll do the same."

"I know." said Titan. "Its not something a pup needs to know." he said. "Let me guess, you escaped that psychopath Mako?" he asked. "So did I."

"I escaped when the cops came around to one of the fights," Suki said. "I think that Mako got arrested that night. I don't see how he could have gotten away."
"Well, I used to live the wolf's life with my mother, but I wanted to come visit my father and brother," Jess said. "But I was told that they already moved on to some other town. I haven't gotten to going back home just yet. I think I might stay here a while."
