Dev clenched his teeth, he couldn't stand to see her cry. He felt his own dark, compicated eyes fill up with tears but he hoped they wouldn't run down his face. He stepped back from Shay slightly and put his free hand on her face, whiping the tears away with his thumb. "I love you." He said simply, swallowing hard. "I would take you with me. You know I would. But if something happened to you I wouldn't be able to live with myself...If you got hurt or...died-" he made an almost whimpering sound and whinced, trying to finish. "I would die too."

Dev shook his head "What will I do without you..." he said, burying his head on her shoulder, smelling in her sweet and familiar scent. "At least your parents will be happy..." he said, trying to lighten up the mood. He didn't want to leave Shay in a depressed state. "They never really liked me very much did they?" he said, forcing out a choked up sounding laugh.

"Shay...I-I can't...this was your brothers..." Dev said, touching the moon now dangling neatly around his neck. He looked around himself for something that he could give back to Shay and smiled. He removed the blood red tie from his neck and placed it gently over Shay's head. "I got this from the guy who made me...who I am..." Dev said and smiled. "You don't have to wear it if you don't want to...it's kinda dorky...but it smells like me!" Dev said and grinned.

"Hey, hey, hey whats wrong?" Dev said, holding her face in his hands. As soon as her gaze broke from his Dev felt broken, cut off, and lost without her, even though she was right in front of him.

Dev wrapped his arms securley around her, pulling her in closer. He rested one hand on her soft hair and the other was wrapped tightly around her back. "I wish you could come too...but Shay if anything happened to you..." he couldn't bring himself to say what he meant, but he knew that she knew. "You and me...we're not alike...you are perfect and amazing in everyway and I don't deserve you...and i'm a cold hearted monster...a murderer...a hunter...and I can't understand how amazing it is that you feel the same way with me that I feel about you..." Dev said emotionally, kissing the top of her head.
