"And you," she turned to the other wolf-dog, "Cayden! I dare say, no, I SAY, what ARE you doing with MY brother?!?!'" Lise demanded with anger. "FANG! You of ALL of us wolf-dogs would know, STAY AWAY FROM BALTO'S PUPS!!!!!! That's like betraying Father!!!!!!" She watched Fang run off. "I am so sorry, Cayden. But Fang knows not to talk to Balto's pups. And I couldn't help but overhear your convorsation, but Father found Mother and realised, Marro was so much more like him. He realised, he was too good for Jenna. She never liked him for who he really was. Mother loves Steele for Steele, and that is THAT!" "And," she added, "We are part wolf. Fang refuses to admit it, but I, I am proud to have the wolf on my side. Our mother is full wolf, just so you know. You act like it's curse, but I guess that's because Nome outcasts mixes. Too bad your not from Tropical Island Noel, or the Big Apple." Lise walked into Nome feeling proud. "On Bermuda, wolf was a way of life. In the Big Apple, no one cared about your diffrences. Why do we even call it the Big Apple anyways?" she said quietly. Suddenly, she bumped into Saba. "Afar? de meu way , ?i ceas unde tu e?ti care merge!!!!" she cried, silently thanking the gods of witchcraft she could speak Romanian. She got some pork for her mother, slapped it on her sled, and rode off. As she passed Saba again, she snapped, "Ce e?ti tu privire la?!" When she got home, she found her mother doing a short spell with some candles, wine, and a chant. She also went over the loves ritual's words in her head.

Lise laughed when she saw Fang's horrorfied expression, she was the only one in the room who really got it. "She says that you are grounded until she says, that you know better, and that Daddy will also punisg you, and that you should be more like me!" Lise translated.
"She leaves you a lot but adds the last thing I say, about her, Steele, she really is my daughter," Marro laughed.

You are not to leave THIS HOUSE FOR ANY REASON other than to relieve yourself. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME, DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?!?! Come on, Fang you know better. Why would you do that? Why would you disobey your father like that? But anyway, Steele, punish your son, and Fang, can you try to be at least a LITTLE bit more like Lise?

fang looked as if he was about to argue but thought better of it "thanks alot sis" he hissed at lise "you are so dead" he added
Steele was silent throughout marros speech he then glared at fang when fang opened his mouth to say something steele cut across him "were going to have a little talk fang" he said going out into the garded with fang behind him when they got out he started on fang "WHAT WERE YOU DOING IN NOME?" he yelled "WHY DID YOU EVEN SPEAK TO ONE OF...ONE OF... ONE OF THEM!ARE YOU TRYING TO BE A DISSAPOINTMENT? GO ON WHAT HAVE YOU GOT TO SAY FOR YOURSELF?"
steele yelled
Fang looked his father in the eyes "I think theres some people in nenana who didnt quite hear you" he said bluntly "I dont care what you do,might as well be hanged for a dog as a pup"
Steeles temper reared up inside him, he lashed out leaving a scratch across fangs muzzle "you re mothers right why cant you be more like Lise? or even Iron?" steele asked disbelievingly
"Cayden was right too,you choose your own path and im not staying here to be bossed around by a dog with a nasty temper"
"now theres the river calling the lake wet" steele muttered and was in such a foul mood he didnt even notice his younget son running out of the garden and into the forest.

Fang ran into Nome he saw Cayden and bounded up to her "look Cayden,im sorry about earlier I was being an Idiot and I didnt mean to insult your heritage"he took a deep breath "and you wereright you choose your own path and I left because they werent letting me do that,Do you accept me?" he asked imploring "please" he added

Marro sighed and walked over to Steele. "Everything will be ok, I promise," she said "Come on, Lise, were going to find Fang," she added to her daughter, slipping into Lise's harness.
"No!" cried lise. "Did you hear what Fang said to me?! Why would I do anything for him?!" Lise fled underground in tears. She ran farther than usual, she even ran so far she passed the underground rain runoff. She followed the twisted passageways to her library, her favorite place. A few years back, she had dragged a bookshelf in there, 2 couch pillows, 3 pillows, and a blanket in there. She filled the shelves with leather bound and cloth books on the little bookshelf, they were only 3 feet tall and 3 feet wide, just fitting into the 6 by 9 room. Lise wasn't cramped, though, the walls were 4 feet high. She curled up and whimpered to her book collection, "Fang was so mean! Why can't her be more like Iron, who is nice to me. Iron keeps all of my secrets, is nice, and even tells me all of his secrets! Some day i'm gonna show him this room!" The only other people who knew about it was Lise's sled team, and they were quiet about it. She closed her eves, took off her glasses, and cried.
Marro sighed and walked after her daughter. She too walked down into the dark passage ways, until about 5 or 6 minutes before she let out a shriek of horror. "Woah, ahhhhhhhhh!" A human skull lay to the side of the hallway. "Geeze, what's Lise getting into these days?" she muttered. Marro kept walking until she got to the runoff. She stood in the doorway looking from side to side. The 2 lights on each side of the frame gave a faint yellow glow that extended a couple of feet, casting it's eerie glow on the other black square for a doorway. She looked down into the water, which was a sickening green. , it barely moved. i was worse than New York! The only sounds were the constant "drip, drop," from a pipe along the lines of the drainage, but none Marro could see. The place gave her the creeps. "Lise?" she called, but the only response was the echo that gave Marro shivers. "Lise, Lise, Lise Lise," the walls called back. Marro wanted to get out of there, and FAST! The place seemed haunted, so eerie and dark, "Impossible," snapped Marro, but she instantly took it back. The walls called back, "Impossible!" No way, no way in heck! The laws of witchcraft forbade ghosts, but you just never know... She took a step into the water but jumped back, creating a small yelp and sloshing sound., and again echoing off the wallss, making marro's blood run cold. The yelp came back as a wail, and the wolf's skin became white under her fur. She turned and ran.

Steele saw marro coming out "hey Marro, I was just thinking,maybe we shouldn't find fang.I mean you know what hes like if we find him hell probably just refuse to come home." he looked at his mate "besides im not going where im not welcome, Ill stay away from nome thank you very much" he said

"That's fine, I can go," said Marro. She tore off, trailing the sled. She made it up to Nome, the welcome sign was an inch big. The mail team was next to her! And Balto was in the lead! Marro had no time for this. She used what she and Lise called the "Steele Trick." She bent her head down and snapped viciously at Balto's paw, her strong, big, razor sharp, powerful wolf jaws snapping down on his ankle. She heard a sickening crack and Balto fell to the ground, taking Kodi, the whole team, AND the mail with him. Balto was the only one who knew her, who even knew she was Steele's one and true love. She left the team with Kodi calling "Hey, who are you? What do you think you are doing?!" Marro realized Fang was really close to Balto's pup, and that made her angry. Suddenly, out of nowhere to Fang, she came up and separated them. Marro's eyes were full of anger as she looked down at Fang. She knew he was startled, but she didn't know he could see the ring of deep red blood dripping from her mouth, Balto's blood from when she shatterd his ankle and broke his skin. "You!" she screamed, opening her jaws wide and spitting red blood on her son's horrorfied face. She raised her paw and lowered it hard on Fang's face and pushing his face away from her. A light stream of red liquid dropped onto the snow. i came from the side of Fang's face that didn't face Marro. When he turned back around, a 3 big streaks ran from his left cheek to his right eye. Marro gasped. "That do you think you are doing?!" she demanded.

Fang looked shocked at the blood trickling down his face "im talking to cayden" he snarled "so why cant you leave me alone for five minutes mother" he was more furious at his mother had just interrupted him more than he was for the scarring "I can live my own life! what's it to you if I run off anyway?you've already said I should be more like precious Lise" he was fighting the urge to swipe back "didn't you hear dad earlier,he said I was a disappointment,so if im so much of a disappointment I might as well stay here"
Steele on the other hand had decided to find his daughter,he crept through the underground tunnels and became more and more freaked when he heard Lise whimpering he went slightly faster and was surprised when he came out in Lises library "hey Lise sweety,what's up?" he said trying to sound soft and caring he crept closer "come on its all right"

Marro took a step back. "I-I'm sorry, but you KNOW how your father feels. Cayden is one of HIS pups, and I can't bear to see my baby boy get hurt. I'm sorry. You ARE my first born son," Marro said quietly. "I can let it slide this time, but if I see you near her again, your toast."
"DADDY!" Lise cried. "H-How did you find me?" Lise stammered.
