The little pup was only a month old, barely old enough to have his eyes and ears open. He had blood on him, but wasn't wounded and it didn't come from him attacking anyone. His eyes were bloodshot and full of tears. "M-m-mom-momma, p-pa-papa...g-gone." he stuttered, both from saddness and from him being a baby. He pointed to Balto. "H-h-he-hero." he said and pointed to himself. "Luke." he said, a word he knew very well, his name.

Balto looked around with beady eyes, trying to find a parent in sight. He saw none, and scopped the pup up by the scruff of its neck and carried it back to Jenna's house. He plooped ht pup in Jenna's basket.

Jenna looked down at Luke, seeing the tears in his eyes and the blood on him. She looked at Balto. "What's happened to this poor baby?"
Luke sniffed the other pups, seeing they were a little younger than him, he was still about the same size. He looked at Jenna then at the humans. He whimpered, hoping they'd accept him, to his relief, the big male petted him and check him for wounds, as well as for sicknesses.

Balto glanced at Jenna with worried eyes. "WHat do we do Jenna?" He asked, a small bit worried mainly with concern for the pup named Luke. "We cant just.... dump him."

Jenna could tell what happened. "Well I just had pups, why not raise him with out pups?" she asked. "I mean I'm already producing milk so its not like my owners will have to feed him with a bottle." she said. She watched her owner clean Luke off, his fur was so pretty clean. Rosie's father put Luke with her other pups, saying 'lets see if Jenna will take care of him and if he'll nurse.' She nuzzled Luke, both to reassure the tiny coydog and her owner. Luke started nursing, he looked starved. She looked at Balto. "What is he? I've never seen a dog like him before."

Jenna nodded. "Coyote." she said. "And it looks like black lab in him too." she said. "This brings back bad memories doesn't it?" she asked, nuzzling her mate.
Boris sighed. "This is reminded him of his childhood I believe." he said. "Well be that as it may, this puppy is needing help and this is being the right time for him to be adopted."

"We can keep him." said Jenna. "I can't bare the thought of throwing a poor little orphan into the cold." she said. "He's about the same age as our pups, I'm already giving milk, and I can feed six pups as easy as I can five." she said, looking at the pups. "So Luke, you want to be part of our family?"
Luke looked up from his nursing. He wagged his tail. "Momma!" he said, then looked to Balto. "Papa...hero."

Balto just smiled once more.
4 weeks later, the pups were well, 4 weeks old, 4 weeks away from getting there new homes. But this time Rosie's parents decided they will keep one of them, which is undecided.

OOC: They don't give the pups away until they're almost a year old, at least that's how it was in Wolf Quest.

OOC: Ok.
Boris was with Balto on the boat. "Balto, how are you going to be taking having the pups given away in 4 weeks?" he asked, remembering how hard it was last time. "And there is the possiblity Luke won't be adopted, like with Aleu."
Jenna was walking towards Balto's boat. "Come on little ones." she said to her puppies.
Luke ran next to Copper, always close wit his big sister. "Yay! Lets see papa!" he said, tail wagging.
Little Dika ran with her brothers, suprisingly fast for her size.
