I've seen this happen, i've even seen mods play favorites and igonre the trouble maker. I agree, it should stop. Everything has already been said pretty much.

I totally agree with SK.Also, there's one thing what I've noticed: When a popular member joins to someone's contest s/he.... wins.

I tire of this.

If you have a suspicion a mod/several mods are playing favourites, please name them so that we can deal with it! Stop the bloody whining, already! We cannot do anything unless you help us!

By all that is good, please stop the QQ.


[edit]: I can't guarantee that you will see results right away! But changes will happen, if you just help us make them!

But if I say that changes will be made as soon as possible, I'll probably still have said something wrong, and the next thing I'll read is "LUX PROMISED ME A PONY!"

So please, name the mods you're complaining about, or forever hold your peace. It is not our fault that you do not want to help us help you.

I can't tell whether or not you are being sarcastic, but it's certainly no fun having people complain about the moderators without actuallly explaining which moderator they are complaining about. It's been like this for a year now, and frankly; it's becoming tiresome.

When I wrote that post, I was also a tad tired as well as annoyed by real-life matters, and yes, it was a tad inappropriate, so I'll rephrase it:

Nothing will (or can) be done unless you (the members) name the moderator(s) you are complaining about. Either to me, Togo, UK - Ban Cat, or any mod(s) you trust. It's sad that you (the members) don't trust all of us, but I suppose it can't be helped.

You know why I want you to name the moderator in question?

It's because we have 20+ moderators divided on different sections, and it's impossible to follow their every movement on the website, and going through literally thousands of shoutbox messages, perhaps millions of PM's, thousands of entires in the moderator logs will take literally years.

And I hardly think you members find the thought of waiting years before change is made to be an attractive one.

Therefore, I'd really appreciate it if you stopped complaining generally about us, and rather narrow it down so that it's humanly possible to trace said moderator's movements.

Oh, no. I was being completely honest by that. I'm sorry that last post could've been interpreted a number of different ways, but what I meant by it was that it's finally nice to have someone take charge and demand to know EXACTLY what's wrong instead of beating around the bush. Getting to the heart of the problem swiftly and effectively -- that's what moderators do.

well who or how would you define "popular" members?

Also a very valid point. Usually the best artists are considered popular, in some cases, those who've been on this site for a long time as well. It really depends on how many other people know you; and it's that familiarity that makes some of us dismiss it when it might seem we're breaking the rules.

For example, I can admit I say some far-out comments on the shout box. I've been reported for it and I've been warned on occasion, but the people who do the warning know that it's just me to say such things and that I'm usually being sarcastic. Therefore, they don't care much if they see me doing it. For people they don't know as much, its harder to tell.

In other words, it's just like real life. Popular, beautiful, rich people get all the girls (or boys, as your preferences may run) and all the best drugs. They don't have to pay for anything, even when they're wrong. Powerful people have the power. They use it to stay in control. That's why they're powerful.


Unpopular, ugly people get nothing.


Sorry to burst your bubble kids, but that's the way the world works. If you're on the wrong end of that spectrum...well.....get to minimum-wagin'!

Luckily, I exist to ensure popular kids doesn't get what their finger is pointing at every time!

As far as I’m concerned popularity (to extreme levels) is a curse in itself whether it be in real life or on the internet. When you’re extremely popularity and have so many followers then it’s impossible for you to do wrong as everything you do will be thought of as the best thing ever written, ever drawn eg: and anyone who disagrees is instantly put down by the masses of fans. At this stage the person usually believes that they are the best thing that happen to the world of whatever they do and thus won’t listen to advice from other about particular things because they are so popular that of course you’re wrong and they’re right. Sadly though as someone mentioned before that’s the way the world turns and there’s nothing you can do about it.
