Trend much? I gotta agree with ya RB. I wonder how much longer the "emo" trend will last. It's not really emo that bothers me (it's already fading out), It's metalcore and deathcore. These kinds of bands have hoodwinked many a gullible Hot Topic going teenager into thinking that they are heavy just because of their cookie monster vocals. Their fans however fail to realize their poor musicianship and cliche'd, laughable lyrics which try way too hard to be "hardcore".

There are many bands out there that will try to be "hardcore" and "tough" but in reality those bands just copy off each other without the fans realizing that they are listening to pretty much the same song.

Trend much? [/quote] "Emo" is not a trend, it's a lifestyle (and a hard one, I mean c'mon, have you've ever tried to be "emo"?). I'm all for respecting your opinions but maybe you should'nt slay something that you've never tried. Give it a rest okay? I've always liked this music and probably always will.

I once tried "emo" but I later realized that if I wanted to be an individual then I shouldn't be doing the same thing as everyone else. I still have tons of "emo" friends and they're really nice and cool but I no longer see why it's cool to be "emo". Face it, if everybody's doing the same thing then I don't see how it's unique or different. It's just copying other people.

Well, it makes me accept myself for who I am and realize that it is okay to be what or who you want and not let others dictate how you should live your life. But hey, that's just my view on it- I could be wrong.

I agree with you on that,"what's wrong with being different?", but the situation is different for me, I'm, like, the only "emo" in my school and proud of that. And yes, "Emo"s are very nice, have you ever talked to anyone at Hot Topic, thay're VERY nice. Like when I first dyed my hair, they gave me some tips and stuff. And RB, please stop, everybody's different, we have rights. just because we're not like you(yes I'm at it again) doesn't mean you make fun of us. Everybody's their own person and has their own style and interests. What would the world be if everyone was the same? Weird and not fun that's what. Everybody's different and how would you like it if someone was constantly "ohh, RATM sucks" or "uhh, I HATE Alice in Chains!"

Ya really have to get to know the person to be able to tell if they're serious or not.
