It doesn`t bother me.. Taka was his original name, but to me, he`ll always be Scar. It`s the name he`s known under.

Taka just sounds strange to me. I'm not used to him being called that, so I'll go with Scar.

I'm really not annoyed by it. It is his real name, after all.

I even PREFER Taka instead of Scar. For me it just sounds... Prettier xDD I can't explain why xDD

I was very suprised when I heard that Taka was Scar's name. I wonder where it come from.

I remember when I first discovered "Taka" was used as Scar's "real" name; I had just joined TLKFAA (2005) and people were using the name "Taka" left right and centre instead of Scar. I found out this was from a book I had never even heard of, and interested, I found it on the internet and read it.

I mean, who would name their child "Scar"? It didn't make sense, even when I first watched the movie aged six. Scar was a villanous name indeed, but it certainly didn't fit amongst all the other named characters. Not that it would really matter to a child or someone who is not an avid fan.

In my opinion, Taka is a fitting name. It can mean "Junk"/"Rubbish"/"Worthless" (a nasty name for a nasty character) OR if you think more around it and want to believe his parents were loving and would never give such a name to their son, the name could also mean "Want"/"Wish"/"Need".

It doesn't bother me what they call Scar, and I don't know why it would annoy other people when it isn't really any of their business whether they call Scar "Scar", "Taka", or "Chuck Norris".

No it wasn't. It's just an outsider invented name for a couple of books only. Nothing to do with the original Scar.

And yes it annoyes me - not in itself but when they try to say it was really Scar's birth name. The entire over-rated Six New Adventures annoy me when it's being claimed as (semi)-canon when in fact it's not.

Keep the books seperated from the movies in official terms because that's how the film makers meant it. Call him Taka if you like it, but please also make clear it's not really Scar's name. xP

His name "Taka" kinda reminds of Taco, he'z not a tortilla that comes soft or hard with grounded meat with tomatoes, lettuce, and sauce.

No it doesn't. That's "Kovu".

Not really. I'm getting used to it, though. I prefer the name Taka to Scar. And by the way, Calvin, Taka doesn't mean Scar in Swahili, Kovu does.
