Yep. I read on the "Wolf: The Movie" boards that the wolf gets killed in the up coming remake too. So, yeah. I'd hate watching them make wolves look evil and watching the boy stab the lead wolf so I probably won't go see it.

I was not aware that that movie existed, so I'm therefore assuming it was not a mainstream movie. Therefore I still do not consider this movie a remake. You can call it that, and I can choose not to. And Stormwolf, no offense, but just because the wolves are the villains in the movie (although I do love wolves as much as everyone else on here), IMO, is not a valid enough reason not to go and see it. Of course I know he's not real! xD I'm 13! Lol. I should know. Well, I might go see it. Other than the part with the wolves, it looks like a good story. One of the first movies to have amazingly realistic CGI animals in it.

They are not looking at the other movie for inspiration, they are solely on the books, so no this is NOT a remake. A remake would be if they were to remake the movie.
Think of it like the fan art here. JOEA draws a pic of Balto. JOEB else makes pic of balto, but at a later date, there for according to your definition of a remake, then JOEB did a remake of JOEA's pic, even when JOEB didn't even look at JOEA's pic. If JOEB used JOEA's pic to inspire his pic, then it would be a remake.

COmpanyA makes a movie of Lion witch and the wardrobe from the book.
CompanyB also looks at the book and makes a movie. Did Company B do a remake of CompanyA's movie?? no. THey simply did a reimagnination of the book.
Think about that.
