I've only been in a tornado. I don't get hurricanes where I live.

Never in either one. New Jersey is one of those states that rarely/never gets these two storms.

Tornados are such beautiful acts of weather! Haha i guess you could say I have a natural storm chaser inside me. When i was younger I lived in Arizona. And we would have daily monsoons in the evening. my dad was still at work and I was home with my mom. But when my mom saw a funnel touching down she freaked out, calling my dad. I guess it took off the roofs of a couple houses. But that was enough for my mom. Now she is obsessed with tornados. She went house hunting recently to Colorado with my dad and they saw a funnel coming down. My mom started yelling at my dad to go chase it. But it roped out before they could. Although they got some pretty awesome pictures. HAHA

Rarely would be more accurate. After all, a town in northwestern New Jersey was hit by a small tornado only in the last week or so, during a run of very touchy and heavy summer storms...which included high winds and dangerous lightning.

Yeah, those were some heavy storms. So that isn't suprising that is was a small tornado.

If i find my moms camera I'll try. I think she only took one good picture because it came and went pretty quickly she said. But that happens with most funnel clouds.

Oh I remember that tornado. It was about fifteen(?) miles from where I live. Luckily it didn't come by me. But there were fallen trees and branches all along the highway.

Anyway, I haven't really been in any tornados or hurricanes besides very small hurricnes that just leave fallen branches behind. Nothin' big. But I think that it would be interesting to watch a tornado from the distance.
