"Yeah..." Balto mumbled, looking down the sloap then at the sky- it was already about sunset.
he felt bad, knowing that he had kept his family sitting worrying all day. And on such a special day, too.
"Lets get ready for bed, kids. Me and your mother are just gunna sit out here for a minute." Balto smiled, pushing the six of then into the cave. He was trying to make the rest of the time they had left together right.
"Jennie..." He said, looking to his paws. "I'm sorry, I messed up the whole day."

"I don't know who they are!" Balto shivered, growling at them.
"Don't lie, wolf! You know who we are!" Cranck fought back.
Balto walked closer, stunned by his words. He pushed his nose up against his.
"We have the guts to call me wolf, I see...? I have the feeling I could say the same!" He smirked.
"You trader... You try to turn down your own kind? Your more wolf than ME!"
"YEAH! I'm wolf, but I've lived my life as if it wasn't true. I ignore the fact, roaming the streets like a dog, like I have a family to look up to! LIKE I HAVE A LIFE TO LOOK FORWARD TOO! You know what, thats a LIE! I'm just a wolf. My father... My father, I tell you, is who I wish I could be. I wish I could be normal! I WANT to be a dog... But he left me. Now I have small chances. Small chances of a family. And thanks to you, I not only wont have dogs that care for me, I wont have a home. Because you turned me down.
Thanks." He growled, turning is back to look down on the town as he sat stiffly.
"We should go, Dustly, I can feel we wont get any different then before. We're not needed. ...Shocking."

"Lost?! I asure you- we are NOT lost, old man! I'm..." He started, but then backed away.
"I'm looking for my father..." He said deeply. "But whats it matter to you?!" He sat down and turned his back.
"Hey-" Balto said, wondering if he had maybe said to much.
Vicor E. then pulled him back by his scruff.
"Father! Look what you did- you gotta help him, hes just a young dog looking for hs own dad... You've gotta help him in some way-"
"Wolf, Victoria Eve... He is a wolf. And he shouldn't be trusted!"
"WHAT?! Maybe he was right, I think you really are turning your back on your own kind- as if its not even true! How could you, Father?! Besides, hes got as mcuh dog in him as you do." Victor E., unpleased by hearing her full name, turned her back and waved her tail in Balto's nose then walked away with the attitude she had had since she was just a pup.
Balto sighed and turned to Jennie.
"What do you think..?" He asked her, unsure what was to happen next ...Would she way 'yes'... Or 'no'? This one moment seemed like the longest moment in his life, as he was most positively against the idea.
