lol Loooovely. Well, since Dr. Rex has also agreed with me, and wondered where you were coming from, perhaps you'll explain it to him. Unless you feel he has "strained" your patience too. :roll:

*reported*

I barely even know him.

Apparently, I don't deserve it.

I'm not that mad. I just want us to be able to have a conversation that lasts at more than three posts before turning into a fight/argument.

I thought this was supposed to be a civil place where we don't have big fights about things that don't warrant them.

Well, I haven't been on the rant board much but I'll take your word for it.

I don't want fights because I've been on lots of other forums on the internet and it could get really mean and nasty on them and I try to avoid that as much as I can now. I ya guys have to argue like that then do it in pm's/ don't do it where everyone can see it because there are little kids that do go on here and they and most other people don't like non-stop fighting.

Now: back to the wolfies: I do wonder what the term lycanthrope means because I've heared it before in relation to werewolves and didn't know what it exactly meant so can someone please tell me?

Look, I hate to drag this out as much as anybody (of those who haven't), but let me get to the bottom line here, and then HOPEFULLY (as I agree with you in general) we can move on...

1. This is not a situation in which PMs would be anymore helpful or productive, and they simply will not happen;

2. Most of the members of this site are teenagers and college students, and the whole "there are little kids on this site who need protection" has been debated, argued and refuted to the "nth" degree. Meaning it's been utterly exhausted. And no one on here acts in such a way as might be construed as "protecting kids". In fact, they get bristly and defensive at the very notion that they have to curb their behavior for these practically non-existent little children. So let's not set loose that particular discussion monster again, m'kay? Thanks.

You said your peace on trying to keep the peace. There is no need to play the finger-wagging game. That is a moderator's job. If you want this topic to stay firmly back on topic, then just stop talking about it. We've all had our say on why the topic needs to stay on topic. There's no further need, at this point, to go on about it.

Okay, point made.

Also, thankz for the info. How do ya find all this information anyway?

Lol. I have an n-inch book on world mythology I randomly flip through. When I saw the word "lycanthropy" I was all Oo. The symbolic meanings in such stories is really quite fascinating... for example, that two alleged ingredients of the magic salve that supposedly transformed one into a werewolf were mandrake root and the fat of an un-baptized baby. :mrgreen:
