Good...movie...*gulps*
It has to be one of the most inspiring movies of loyalty..... What a good and realistic way to dedicate a movie to the wonderful dogs that saved many lives and assisted in many discoveries in Antartica...

I cried twice during the movie, but after thinking and thinking about it more and more....I discovered that the sad parts added strength to the movie (and to the characters of the dogs). Once you decide that certain...sad...parts of the movie was really the way it had to be without making it a total happy-ever-after cheesy Disney movie, it is just a great story about the team's loyalty to each other...

All paws up, along with a tail way for this amazing movie....

Really dogs cannot survive 176 days? Also I liked how two dogs actaully died. Never thought it was possible. Also I doubt dogs could really break through a metal chains and collars. They also magically found birds. I don't think that Jerry would have had a 10 year old dog either on a sled team.

Well:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. The dogs survived off of other foods, but food was scarce
2. Yes, dogs (huskies) can survive for weeks without food if they have had one or 2 birds
3. In below 0 temeratures, metal becomes weak to the point where all it takes is a sharp pull and "snap"
4. 10 year old huskies retire at 10 and a half. He also mentioned that he was retiring that year.
5. In Antartica, seagulls are as unbundant as pigeons in New York or Boston

I saw it, and I loved it...except for that one scene (SPOILERS) with the dead orca and the leopard seal. *shudders* Yeah, I know, the dead orca looked completely fake. But it was still gross to see the dogs just eating off of it. And then the leopard seal come and attacks them...it was my least favorite scene.

But other than that, I loved it

Really, that was like, my favorite scene. I got to see EightBelow the first day it came out here in Missouri in this certain theatre. It came out on Monday in one theatre and in others it came out friday. Which was before last friday...

That scene was funny cause [spoiler] it looked like a dinosuar and everyone in the theater shrieked. I jumped, but then I laughed. Everyone looked at me like what the hell is wrong with her? But it was kinda scary when it jumped under the ice and went after MAx.
