How about a spam forum?

Quite right...we both DO know what a forum is supposed to be (and, in point of fact, how it is supposed to be run and moderated). That being said, I think giving the multitude of spammers here a place to practice their bad behavior is "enabling" behavior. It legitimizes their wanton misbehavior. Sure...taking away the rankings and post counts might resolve part of the problem, but not all of those who spam here do so to increase their post count and, thus, their rankings. Some just don't seem to GET IT when it comes to forum etiquette, and others don't care. The solution to those people? Strong, unrelenting moderation, and banning if necessary. Of course, that requires consistent, timely moderating.

I think removing rankings and post count would solve a very large part of the problem, and i do agree with your last part but most of the spammers, a majority of them do it for the post count.

Hmm, I think only half of the spammers do it for the post count, but for the others as he said, who have no clue, or just spam for the sake of it? Now I DO know of somone who spammed all over the introduction section just saying "Welcome" or "Welcome Back" In every single post, whom was also posting these in topics last posted in 2006. That user was doing it for post count, but still, for those who do it for the post count, why cant Mods give them a Ban? Or evan just delete all there posts?

I would say that about 80 to 95% of them do it for the ranking and/or post count......why do we have a post count and ranking system anyway?
Banning is of course a very good idea but deleting all posts might be harder than just do it the easy way....remove post count and ranking...

Most forums have posts counts and/or rankings, it's like asking why do the mods have there own rank. For me, it's just simply banning.

XD very pointless to have a spam box or whatever. All you would find there is childish children posting nonsence. That is not useful in anyway shape or form.
