It's Tim! The same one who helped Balto in his problem when he was framed for cheating on Jenna! And his last appearance was your last story after his long absence since the wolf takeover thing by an older friend of Aleu who decided to overtake her when she decided not to kill an outsider wolf cub.
Am I right...?

In your last story... and Tim looked guilty. It doesn't take a genius to know that he's the next victim in the cheating problems. What's his ultimate punishment...? Death...?

True, my stories do have a lot of victims, and often times they're characters that we care about (that I care about!) but I think that's one of the things that adds realisem to my stories. Fate isn't kind to someone just because they happen to be a hero, in fact, often it's the heros who are hurt (or killed) the most. Look at the Medal of Honor Citations, and you will notice that over 70% of them died earning that medal. That means that over 70% of our nations greatest hero's were killed, sometimes right then, sometimes a week or more later (I'm speaking of combat of course) So yes, my characters do suffer the hardships of reality, but that's life for ya. It has ups and downs curves and drop offs, but when all is said and done it's those that stood with you, and the relationships you've had with those individuals that makes the difference, that adds to the total of what your life was worth. I'd like to quote a very funny (though also very obscene) comeidian, Bill Hicks...
(This is one of the few times he was serious, at the end of one of his shows, near the end of his life)
"....ife is just a ride. Yes, it has bells and whistles, and flashing lights, but it's still a ride. We have people who come and try to tell us it's a ride, that there's something waiting for us at the end, and the managers of the ride say: "See how much we've invested in this ride, we can't have this person running around telling them it's jst a ride, it must be real to them." Then the managers kill these people. Then everyone goes on, riding the ride, and sometimes a group of people remember that person that told them it was "just a ride", and they eventually get off the ride, and go on to much better, greater things, but most of us... we just ride, and ride and ride and ride. So just remember, when life is at it's hardest, it's just a ride, it's only a ride..."
I think he was really on to someting there, so I had to repeat it.
At any rate, it's hard, (soetimes VERY hard) to hurt my characters. They're almost real to me now. I've been writing about them for so long, it seems as if they are real, and they come alive everytime I read my stories. (that's the wonder of storywriting, you can brethe life into anything your imagination can come up with) I almost cried over my decision to kill of Shasta in Balto: Darkness; simply becasue she was the first character I really developed on my own, she'd been with me since Jenna's Journey, and she and Dash were so close... but that's when reality kicked in, what would I do if I were Steele, and I were trying to hurt (but not kill) those Balto cared about. Dash was a good fighter, and Steele knew that. He couldn't have a contested battle that close to Aleu, where an alarm might be raised, and bring the entire pack down on him... so the logical target was Shasta, and there was no way for her to defend herself, so...
She died.
Even now when I read that part it almost brings tears to my eyes, the death of a beloved character... but like I said. That's life.
Oh life's not all darkenss, there's definatly fun times too, but it's the dark times that matter most, for who you are, how you act, when nothing is going your way, that's what your character is defined by. You have to go through dark times, hard times, to fully appreciate the really good ones.
I like to think that God (As I said before, I'm Christian, if you aren't, no offense intended) works in mysterious ways, that everything that happens happens for a purpose in his grad, toattly crazy plan for our lives. I mean (going back to my story) how else would Dash have gotten together with June, if Steele hadn't kkilled Dalchie and Shasta? They wouldn't have.
Anyway, I hope this has given you a little insight on why I write the way I do. Sorry to ramble on, and on, but I just got hung up on the subject.
On a different note:
Balto: The Race is now sitting at about eighty-eight pages. It's not quite done though , and I think it may breach the hundred twenty mark. It should (no promises) be done by next Monday.
After that, I've got my next cheating story. (I haven't come up with a title yet) Also, My mom asked me to write her a Bambi II, so I'm going to be working on that as well. Would you guys be intrested in reading it?
Since it's not Balto, I'll probably post it in the animals section. I just have an outline now, so it will be a while before it's ready.
So, I guess that's all the updates for now, hope you al have a GREAT day!

Whoa. Eighty eight pages in what...? *looks back at previous posts* A week? Two?
It's taken me two months to get to where I am with Dark Eyes... and it still isn't done. Well, I do have school to worry about... Ah well.
Sure, I'll read the Bambi II story, but that won't keep back the curiosity for long.
'Why, oh why do all of our favorite characters CHEAT on their mates?' I ask you. 'Is it fun to write about?'
I answer myself, 'Sometimes, depending on who and with whom... Writing cute, happy-ending stories get's boring sometimes!'
Anywho, update on my 'current' projects:
Dark Eyes
A special request entitled Those We Trust (name subject to change)
And then...
I've had this awesome idea in my head for the past week of so, and I've been writing down bits and pieces, so I may post one hear. It's another war story, with Balto of course, which I think I will entitle Honor.
Hope you don't mind Rotramel, but I seem to remember you planning to write a story with that name... and well, it hasn't come. If it still coming, I'll gladly change the name, but I think it will fit quite nicely.
Well, school tomorrow. Signing off.
Stay creative, fight the boredom, and KEEP WRITING! Or else!

Heh... as if it wasn't dark enough... seeing as Bambi lost his own mother during his childhood... and also, the original book where Disney based their film from was a bit dark as well...
Needless to say, we'll have a 'normal' Balto story next before we have a zombie Jenna running after us. Fun...
