As you can probably tell if you read my fanfics I LOVE Aleu. She is a great character and I was beyond ticked when Universal threw her character away at the end of WQ. The first thing I did in my own Balto-verse was to bring her back. Through time she has grown into a mature adult in my stories, gone is the impulsiveness of youth, and some of the hard-headedness as well, but her steadfast determination, iron will, seeminly boundless courage and undeniable loyalty remain intact. She is decisive, quick to act and once she makes a decision she sticks by it regardless of the consequences. Aleu is my picture of the the ideal leader and the perfect companion.

Here's to Aleu, all she has given us and all she will give in the future.

You and me both, RTW-san . . . Aleu = LOVE.

*raises own glass* Here, here!

And to explain something to Balto.sDaughter: Yes, I will agree with you - at first Aleu is rather ungrateful of who she is, but can anyone blame her for how she acted? Balto never told her the truth when she was younger, so what else did she know? She only lived with what she knew at the time, until she learned the mystery of her heritage and finally began to embrace what being a wolf meant once she began to discover more about what her destiny was meant to be. However, *** the movie starts to climax, Aleu is no longer this ungrateful youngster that was once playful and naive - she becomes the leader that she was always meant to be, much to her father's dismay, of course.

And another thing: Aleu's not psychic - it's probably Aniu's power of visions working through her somehow, but it's not a psychic power that Aleu knows about. Besides, if she were psychic, then Aleu would know that her father would be bent on following her no matter what a long time ago. Right?

I love Aleu; she's my favorite character in the entire Balto series! I'm in the middle of writing a fanfic about her, just to give you an idea about how much I like her; I usually don't write stories based off of movies.
Also, did you notice I put her in my signature?
