Umm . . . there was criteria for these awards . . . and also, there wasn't many other competition in the category that WQ won for anyway. Gah, why you guys not understand that? I'm starting to feel bad that you guys are even saying you're fans of the Balto series . . . especially since we had no say in the results anyway. Just chill out and stop hating, please! Just because you don't like it doesn't mean that you have to blame the people in charge for their own opinions! *steams . . . I'm pissed right now, seriously . . .* - Juuchan17

Strange. That's all I'm going to say. Fair enough, it was pitted against similar quality material. Whatever.

Well it's not that a GREAT award... The reason why Balto 1 didn't get any award takes two words : Toy Story. (and also because it was the end of Amblimation and its relation with Universal, so no one supported it) The reason why Balto 3 didn't get any award is a bit the same : Universal didn't give any support to it, CONTRARY TO WOLF QUEST. (yes, yes, Universal DID make some efforts when Wolf quest was released, and NOT when Wings of change was released.)
But I don't care much about awards. Most of the time, I don't like the films that get awards when I see them. Besides, to me if Balto 1 didn't get any award, then no film on the world deserves it.

If we wanted any attention directed at the Balto films, it shouldn't be WQ, that has the least consistent rate of liking among fans and usually fans are a good indicator at whether a sequel is yay or ney.

Ileu wrote: Thank you for linking this . . . I forgot to do that when I began this whole thing. And to all you WQ-haters: I understand why you think WQ doesn't deserve an award, but how can you guys seriously call yourselves fans of the Balto Trilogy (and its alternate universe in general) and totally diss one of them for winning a minor award? Sure, the original Balto had the better animation and all (of course, it's the first film - DUH), but remember, if WoC (to you, mind you) is the better sequel to follow up the original Balto, it was made solely because of how well WQ did when it premiered on TV and made its way onto DVD and VHS. Without WQ, there would be no WoC - even if it did return to its roots in the end. To me, WoC completed the Balto circle, while WQ only helped to begin a new chapter . . . no, a new generation of Balto's legacy (by focusing more on his wolf side than anything . . . perhaps that's one of the reasons why Aleu was born wolf-like) that had begun at the end of the first film. The three films together make the Balto series great because they wouldn't work well without each other. I apologize for going all ranty and such, but I like the idea that WQ did get some positive recognition for trying something new (although I will admit it - it wasn't too bad, but it wasn't a masterpiece either). I just want us as a Balto community to just chill, okay? Is that too much for me to ask? Thanks. - Juuchan17

Because we think said film in the trilogy sucks, as can be obviously gathered from our replies. Example:A company produces a chip flavour one year. Although the taste is really good, the chip goes unnoticed except for a group that like it. Years later, the same company has been reintroducing cheaper versions of their past products, so produces a chip flavour under the same brand name that is dull and uninteresting, and produced for a different market. A few years later a slightly improved chip flavour comes out. This one isn't as good as the original one, but is still better than its procedessor. The second chip, which recieved a very shaky audience (you either hate it or love it) wins an award despite the two other chips being better quality-wise. Err... if that makes any sense... my logic explanation is very bad today...
