Xinal sighed and stepped forward. However before he was ablt to challenge her since she was on ground wolves territory, he heard Nyx's call. He turned around and padded towards Nyx and the small cub who called himself Daiku. "What is it?" He halted and looked at the cub with a bewildered look... but something still was off... He shook his head to clear it. It must be nothing

On the other side of the territory, a wolf looking over the horizon asks himself, "Where is he? The report was due sunhigh of today."

With even more curiousity than brains, Vixen bounded after Xinal and halted a little ways beside him, staring at Nyx and Daiku. The year old she-wolf tipped her head and sat down, ignoring the fact that none of these wolves were her own kind.

Diaku yipped when he got picked up, whining a bit. But when he was set down and started getting licks, he gave a cute smile. snugggling up to the wolfess and closed his eyes for a Nap. After all, the flying was very hard for his age and extremely Tireing.

Xinal glanced again at the newcomer. "Who are you may I ask?" His voice was even but there was an underlying tone of caution carried within those words. He still had a duty to get back to Granger with the report of his patrol. I hope he doesn't decide to look for me... How would we explain the presence of two white wolves, one a pup with wings the other a year old wolf whose scent was... He tried scenting her again now that she was closer. The scent he got was of a...

Summer perked her ears. Once again her forcus on one thing was taken, scent had carried up from behind Aqua causing Summer's frame to leave towards one side as blue orbs looked straight passed the unknown specied wolf, Well it was clear in some way that Aqua was in mixed. "As long as you have not got competition with you then I shall say that you are most likely welcome in my sight" Summer responded to her courteous inquiry with a confident, smooth tone once again. "Was I right in hearing and sensing that we are not alone?" Her tone become in more interest of what was going on in her surroundings.

Nyx looked at Daiku. He was still young, and he needed the attention and care of a mother. nyx brought it upon herself to take care of him. After all, she always wanted a pup of her own.... and she wouldnt mind raising Daiku. Nyx whimpered softly, a sight of how she needed food. However, she knew of Xinals duties... and nudged him to go report to granger.

In the meantime, Nyx cleaned and comforted Daiku. "it'll be okay..." she whispered quitely in his satin ears. She never spoke, but for the pup she made and acception. Her voice was smooth and comforting. Very soft, and caring. very beautiful.

The Windwolf sat down and blinked her blue eyes up at Xinal. He is kinda cute, was all she could think of at the time being.

Xinal dismissed it as Nyx nudged him. He really should be getting back to Granger. He turned around and ran off, his paws throwing sand up into the air in his haste.

A magnificent howl broke through the calm sky, the morning light gleaming as Granger howled his summon. "Where is he?" Granger took several steps forward and started off at a brisk pace towards the direction of the reported border.

Only after a few minutes of running Xinal nearly crashed into Granger barely stopping himself mere inches from the alphas face. He hurried into a stumbled bow. "I am sorry alpha, I have not come back in time for the report." He kept his head low and eyes shut, what was he going to say about the two new wolves that popped up on the land.

"Get on with the report then now that you're here!" Granger growled the order his eyes scorching the Xinal's fur.

"There have been no sightings of Water Wolves nor scent of any patrols or advancements." Xinal took a deep breath and continued silently, "However..." He was still lost as regards to report the two newcomers. One of them had the scent, though faintly, of Wind wolves.

But the alpha's keen ears heard the hesitation. "'However'?" His eyes narrowed as he glared at Xinal.

He Xinal shut his eyes as he continued, "Nyx has discovered a pup that had wandered into the territory..." Though Xinal tried to make it sound like the end, the alpha still noticed the slight twitch of Xinal's ear.

"If you don't report everything to me I will label you as a traitor! For if you hold secrets from me, it would be giving the enemy the upper hand!" Granger howled, his fur bristling with anger.

Xinal flinch but kept remained in his bow, "There is this other wolf who has entered the territory and has a faint scent of Windwolves, sir!"

Granger closed his eyes thoughtfully, "Windwolves..." When he opened them he padded forward towards the border, nnot bothering to thank Xinal for the task he had just finished. "Follow!"

Xinal turned around a followed after Granger's brisk pace. His mind racing, What will happen to them? his old self instantly returned filling him with panic, something he hasn't felt in a long time. His mucles were screaming with fatigue from Xinal's patrol and sprint back to Granger but he did his best to keep up with Granger's relentless pace.

Daiku Felt her warm tongue rub along hi sfur and he wagged his tail, ears perked ot the sound of her sweet and yet, soothing voice. he gave gentle murs when she licked his ears and he snuggled up to her, nuzzling into her soft fur before slowly drifting asleep.

Granger stopped over the hill a good distance from the area of encounter. "What's the meaning of this?!" He shouted down towards Nyx. He padded down slowly but full of energy in every step making the ground ripple very subtly. Xinal followed his head bowed and tail dropping his dull eyes staring straight at the ground.

"Who are you?!" Granger demanded from Vixen, the ground around him swaying slightly, the subtle earthquake emanating from each ripple of power he set out with each paw step.

Nyx looked at Xinal. She was'nt mad at him, for she knew it was his job to report to Granger. However, she was slightly disappionted he told about Daiku, about how he was a wind wolf.

she nuzzled the pups fur softly. "it'll be okay... dont worry" she whispered again to him. "Ill protect you."

Nyx turned to Granger. Her eyes said everything. Mostly that she sympatized the pup. He needed a home, a life, a mother nonetheless, and Nyx would give it to him. No matter what it ment for her. Even if it ment leaving the comfort of her pack, and the comfort of her best and only friend Xinal, she'd do it.

Nyx didnt look scared when Granger was there. Mostly calm, and concerned for the pup. "I'd like it if you'd let me raise him... He'd make a good addition to the pack. Regardless of what he is... give it a try, if you dont like it you can ban both him and I. If not, then i must leave with him. Hes young, and without some guidence, he'll die." She said quietly and softly. She didnt trust Granger enough to talk to him, but there was a life (or two) on the line, and her body language wouldnt be good enough. Sighing, she gave a little comfroting smile to the pup and Xinal. "Its okay. I understand." her eyes told him. She didnt look angry, or upset. She just had to let Xinal know she wasnt upset with him.

Though the earth trembled around her, Vixen sank her front claws onto the ground and stood up straight, neck fur flat instead of bristling. "Vixen is the name, I come from the Windwolf packs." Or did...she thought.

Finally after thinking over what to say next, she looked back up and met his gaze, her eyes calm. "I was kicked out because I am not the Alpha or Beta's daughter. My mother..." She hung her head slightly, finally recognizing the position she was in now.

Vixen took a breath and opened her mouth to speak, knowing that she could be killed or captured either way.

"My mother was an omega."

Xinal glanced up to see Nyx's glance and was relieved at least a little bit. He didn't want to have brought them into this, but what choice did he have? He was to follow the order of the Ground Wolf Alpha without question. Especially since he begged to be included in the pack long ago because he had no where else to go... this was the only thing he could do to stay in the pack. As Xinal glanced back his eyes reflected the sorrow he has in bringing them into this trouble.

Granger was glancing Nyx and Vixen with narrowed eyes, his mind whirring into gear. All this was to complicate the war going on and he didn't want to have all this trivial matter when an assault came from the Water Wolves. Then his eyes lingered on the winged cub, and in an instant he recognized what he was. A Luna Wolf? He grinned grimly to himself.

"Very well, Nyx. Take care of that pup." He ordered with a growl not even sparing any sympathy for the exhausted Daiku. "You," He gestured to Vixen, "will have to come with us." He turned to Xinal and ordered, "Watch her." With no more than a twitch of his ears he padded back towards the camp expecting the others to follow. "There can be no neutrality in war. That's why all those who stand not with us, are considered our against us. However there might be a chance you and the pup will survive." He glanced back at Vixen. "If you and the Luna Wolf won't help us... Well, I'll leave that for you to fill in." He resumed his pace.

Xinal padded to a halt beside Vixen and Nyx. Because the newcomers weren't part of the war he wished they didn't get involved but the contrary is true.

"I'm sorry," Xinal muttered weakly to the two of them as soon as Granger was out of ear shot. His eyes were dull and clouded with emotion and fatigue. Anymore and he would collapse soon.

Nyx nuzzled Daiku's fur. When Granger allowed her to take care of him, she went mute again, and simply nodded. Xinals sorry made her smile. She enjoyed being cared about by him, her feelings were considered when it came to him. And she enjoyed it. Nyx licked his cheek in a friendly thank you manner. She wasnt sure how else to let him know she wasnt angry. Infact, she was glad that he brought Granger here. Otherwise she may have lived a double life between the pup and Grangers pack. Then she would have really been in for it.

Taking Daiku in her jaws, she placed him on her back, and began to carry him to the packlands. "Xinal." Nyx said softly. "Dont worry about it. Its okay."
