Okay, in an 'alternate universe' Jenna could return Steele's affections. Personally, I think they'd make one hell of a couple, even though it is obvious Balto is the one Jenna chooses at the end of the film. And, as JerseyCaptain said, Jenna clearly wasn't innterested in Steele. Period.

But I see nothing wrong with a little creativity. I think they look great together, personally. And besides, they'd make some awesome lookin babies. >D

I agree. It seems to me that people are actually offended by any type of pairing, which to me is excruciatingly laughable. Its a fandom. If you're going to join, you have to accept the good and the bad. We who simply enjoy the thought of Jenna and Steele being together know they can't happen, but some people don't know that (or refuse to believe it?) and pull their hair out faster about a non-canon pairing than the fact that there was another school shooting recently. There's always going to be people who'll say that people who mess with non-canon pairings aren't true fans, but who're they to judge? We all have different views, its a fact of life, its a fact of fandom, and its a fact that people need to freaking unwind.

If the original story was altered, and things were different, yes, Steele/Jenna may have happened. But with the official canon unchanged, there's not really any real positive interaction between the two.

However, it is very likely that they had a past relationship. Think about it. Jenna constantly shuns off his advances, and Steele keeps making them. Steele was only really determined by jealousy, and why would he have been jealous? Because Steele may have been with Jenna in the past, but now she shows no interest, having matured. At least, that's my opinion.
