But then it would probably have been just like the second movie and most likely even worse because who would be there to be a villain with Zira and Scar gone, the hyenas left, and and the outlands and pridelands united?

I would've liked to have seen the third movie be about what happened before TLK1, I'm curious to know why Scar and Mufasa look so different and hate each other. I know there are books and also about a ton of fanfics about it, still it would have been nice to know what disney would have made out of it. I also found the title a bit misleading although in some places it was released as TLK 1 1/2 I like Timon and Pumba though TLK3 didn't really feel like a Lion King movie since it didn't really focus on the lion characters.

That idea for the third movie is actually really good and I would have thought that to be an interesting movie. Still, I like the current number three just for all the lulz.

But really, all we got was this??? I mean, I really enjoyed it. It was a great movie, but they could have gone for something bigger than that. Yeah, they could have but it could have been much worse and I think the comedy was good for the series.

eh i didnt get to much into it really, i just enjoyed the comedy and fun and it still had good animeation
only had problem was simbas voice... like it not hard to find a younger voice. he sounds like a teen or something even when it redo the song just cant wait to be king. they done with a new voice... how hard to have original song in it. but apart from simba
was a ok film
could of done better ofcourse but thats what third films are. not the best

Number one they made a mistake of putting Kiara in lion king 2 instead of kopa that the threw series off so they couldn't even make a lion king 3 continueing the story so they saw how much little kids liked timon and pumba so they make a movie about them but if they would have put kopa in lion king 2 along with kiara the whole series could be still going on and disney knew they made that mistake that's why they stopped making the lion king movies so they forget about the action and drama and make a lion king 1 1/2 a comedy which was totally irrelavent to the Lion king movies

The third movie was interesting, it just wasn't the first two and people have a hard time getting by that. It filled in one of maybe three backgrounds I would have liked to have known, so it was not a mistake to me at least.
On another note, does anyone remember the episode from the TV show that went over the same subject as the movie but was completely different?

I think so. The first two were both great, but Timon and Pumbaa were not ready for their own movie and I think it kind of dampened the wholesome, rich spirit of the series. I remain a fan of the trilogy overall, however.
