Can't be the PERFECT role model, can we? Lol... I'm sure if this site actually WAS 100% "kid-friendly," we'd loose over half the members. Don't just assume to blame to those who post what YOU might consider to be inappropriate -- you might also want to keep a closer eye on what your, erm... kids... are looking at too. You're all well aware that there are certain rules, limitations, and guidelines that determine what can be posted, what can be said, and what can be shared. And if its within those boundaries, perhaps you may want to look a little more inward if you deem it... inappropriate.

Because quite honestly, I learned all possible curse words when I was 5 and how babies were made when I was 8. (TMI, I know. XDDD) Fact of the matter is, you simply can't keep ANY PLACE ON EARTH completely free of those sort of things, whether they mean to access them or not. Don't get me wrong, however... all those things on this site are still a big no-no.

Buuuuuut... instead of telling bad people to stop doing bad things, maybe you should just keep a closer eye on what your... children... are looking at. ^^ It'll be easier.

And really, if it loses those who love to engage in pandering, and obscene, explicit or violent material (read: mostly teenagers in that crowd), then it's better off for that. Oh sure, that's not the popular opinion amongst the teen set. But that might just well be the point. Because the cartoon was never marketed for teenagers (or even adults). Steven Spielberg was the real motivator behind it...and we ALL know that he makes material to market to kids...and he has a standard of decency in his material (the stuff that is directed at kids anyway).

Steele: "Come on Jenna, let's go celebrate... I know where all the bones are buried."
That and the sausage scene.

Yeah. Totally directed at kids.

Quoted for truth... personal experience.. well, I knew where babies came from at the age of 5 while I was going through the whole "the human body is interesting" phase and came across it by accident. As for curse words, they were openly used in my schoolyard by the time I was in Grade 5.

Yeah. Totally directed at kids.

And what kid under the age of...oh, let's be generous, and say ten, understands double-entendre?

And so you're hanging your counterpoint on that one line? Feh...hardly conclusive.

Geez, many films directed towards kids have similar scenes like that - what about "Lady and the Tramp"? The spaghetti scene? The *cough* fade-to-black part? Who couldn't figure that out after watching the ending? Those pups had to be made at some time, right? (There's probably others, but I just can't think of any others right now . . .)

Seriously, G-rated films can still have some sort of adult material as well . . . though it may be brief or not as importantly noticable to some young ones. However, Steele's sort of verbal (as well as physical) contact with Jenna in those said scenes was rather necessary to show how she was wanted by him (as well as to make Jenna eventually show whose side she was really on - Balto's). It was short, however, so I guess it was okay IMO. Really young children may not exactly understand what was going on at the time, but pre-teens and up probably got the point.

Incidentally? Double posting is kinda against the rules. To wit:

"2. No double posting - Double posting should be avoided. It can be prevented or corrected by combining your 2nd post into the 1st with the edit button or deleting an accidental secondary post with the delete button. There are some situations where it can be allowed though : bring to the top a topic which you wrote the last message but many days before, to highlight two different information in a row, posting long fanfics,..."

Well, what some people are forgetting is that this IS a kid friendly site or they just don't care. That's what annoys me the most about this site. Alot of people aren't remembering what this site is really about. BALTO AND TLK!!

The worst part is that some people think that kind of garbage IS kid-friendly.

I don't want to sound like a Nazi or anything, but frankly there are some members this site would be much better off without.

Yeah, well not sounding like a Nazi DT, you just did in that last post. Just don't go naming the members you 'feel' that the site would better off without. I hate to disagree but those people you feel the site would be better off without, other people feel better with them being around.
