Why not bury them and then put a block over their grave with their names on them. Then let people write their good feelings about them on the blocks?

Here's the way I look at it: Abraham Lincoln, Charles Lindburg, Martin Luther King, they all recieved proper and honerable services, and were buried. They even had monuments erected in their honor. Why not stuff them? Because it isn't what their family wanted and it wouldn't be right. Try asking Balto's family what they wanted and see the answer you get: "bark"

I mean, it really doesn't feel right if you stuff your pet when he or she dies now does it? You love them, and want them to have a proper burial. Not only animals, in fact I don't mind what happens to my body when I die, because I don't need it anymore. What do you think it's better for a hero's body? Stuffed and put in a museum, so everyone can see and remember it forever, or decomposed in a few years?
That is a good point. Now that you say that, I think it was the right thing for them to put Balto and Togo in a museum.

Yeah, I know that it seems that it should be that way, but wouldn't it be better to bury him and then create a large memorial for him? I mean, people should have Balto in their imaginations and hearts, not sight.

Yes, but your not actually seeing HIMSELF. He's gone, his body is the only thing left. I'm sure that he would say "Fine, let my old body be stuffed", but I sure wouldn't want to look at the remains of a hero. There's no life left in there, and he becomes like a statue, stone, or mantle peice.

Yeah, but in a short example, if you took the parts out of a car and then put it on display, and the people came around to admire it, it's very beautiful but when they open the hood they see the nothing! It's just a frame, hardly worth anything, and not very interesting with no "insides"

Ok then, lets split this up in two sections then: half of the people agree that he shouldn't have been stuffed, the other half is ok with it. Basicly, both sides have good points, but that isn't going to change what has already happened. But the way I see it, one day he's just gonna be put into storage down in the basement just like many preserved animals before him....
