Sure it is extremely annoying, so just ignore it. That's why, for me, it's very hard to understand why sms is such a bad thing when all you have to do is ignore it and move on. I have no problem when others think differently, I just cannot understand why it is so annoying. Sometimes it can get out of hand, but other times people just don't feel like trying to undertsand what the people who are smsing are saying. Either try to ignore them, or try to tell them yourself to stop that because you cannot undertsand, also you can just try to understand, if not get the Mods and call it a day, okay? If people want to be ignorant then they deserve greatly their punishment. Sometimes people get mad when others do not understand, for example, what ER means, then just kindly say emergency room, and yes, that can be hard to undertsand as well for some of our younger members. I did not recall what ER meant until you told us, a lot of the time people say brb, bbl, or bbs, and that is also annoying for some of us who do not know what ity means so why don't all of us never sms ever again and follow the dang gone rules?! Okay, i'm done.

"1337" speak or elite speak is becoming increasingly popular among numerous members who are unaware of the rules, I suggest we gently remind them as opposed to reporting those who type a certain way and possibly offending or scaring them away from the site. From what I've seen so far I'd say we're a friendly group of people, I'd hate to mislead a new member by being too harsh on their typing habits. A little elite speak is fine every once in a while, if it becomes a major problem that has a major impact on you or a user does it just to anger you despite his or her knowledge of the rules then you should report it.

Yes, I hate this very much. I think SMS started when cellphones got that "text message" feature. (correct me if I'm wrong.) People say, they have to use short words like," Hi how R U." I have a cellphone myself, and I wrote a text message and I could write fully. Anyway, I find this very hard to understand, cause I speek English, not SMS. In a way I feel bad cause, these people will never write correctly. What if you had a job and you had to wright a reprort. No one would understand you and you would be fierd. Then what would you do?
