While I'm a drummer, I really, really want to take singing lessons. I stink at it but it's really fun.
You ever listen to Journey? That's what I want to be able to sing like!

I can't remember if you told me before, but what type of music do you plan to play? Well, my style influences include alternative metal, southern rock, new wave, hair metal, and contemporary country. My brother, who plays rhythm guitar, has influences in hard rock and heavy metal. We're still trying to find a vocalist, lead guitarist and drummer. Oh, here's a cool website: http://www.GarageBand.com. This is how I found out where the band Gamma Ray Burst was based. Here you'll find bands of various genres and styles from all over the world. You should check it out sometime. I'll let you know when my band gets on there. The Resurrected Phoenix name, by the way, is derived from the name of my brother's old band, Unholy Phoenix. Their top influences were bands like Metallica and AC/DC. They disbanded last August, unfortunately, due to a lack of time. Oh, this sounds very cool and promising. I remember how you got the name Resurrected Phoenix, you posted that a while ago. I love AC/DC and Metallica! I listen more to rock, but I like metal music too. Well, I'm going to check out the site and I can't wait until your band gets there! Good luck with the music.

Hmm...does being in the high school jazz band count? ^^' Well if it does, I'm the 2nd chair trombone in it. We play mostly big band stuff...I can't remember but I think we've played a Count Bassie toon before. Some songs we're playing at tomorrow's jazz festival: Shiny Stockings Better Get Hit in your Soul! (My personal favorite) Green Dolphin Street Skylark Mr. Beautiful Walks His Pet Pig (yes I know it's a weird name...jazz is good with odd names)

No, but me and my friends are planning to form one. I'm going to be the lyricist and co-singer (and lead guitar when I finish my lessons) and one of us will be my co-singer (FYI, its a girl) and of course a drummer and back-up guitar. We've thought about a pianost/keyboardist but none of us can play it. It's going to be thrash metal with an alternative twist.
