Well, the fanfic I'm writing is probably in 1933, or something. It's set in Nome, and partly about sledding.

Also, the main character's grandmother is Jenna's sister, and the other main character, who is a wolf, tells Balto about the legends of her mother and father. And the main character learns to be a wolf, even though he is only a sixteenth wolf.

So, it's not directly related to Balto, and they're not 'random' because they have a past and background information. I mean, really, there are only so many interesting things that people can write in fanfics that only include Balto characters. And as mentioned earlier, sometime's it's hard to stay true to a character's personality if you didn't make it up.

I vote (with an answer thats not there) with Yes AND no.

Yes, Because Balto IS the reason why ALL of us are here. NOT one person can say they're not here for balto, why? because how did they find this place then? Even if they were on TLK source... they HAD to have seen the "Lion King fan? You will Love balto!" with a picture of balto on the link. So yes. I do believe balto (im saying in fan arts, rps ect.) needs to be brought into the site more then it has been.

No, because although balto is a big part of this site... balto is something EVERYONE can use... if everyone did stories on balto, eventually, the idea will get old. for Example the same story would get used over and over... With your own characters, yeah... they may have the same story, but for instance, the character could have wings or a sixth sence.. something that the person can make up and instantly, just adding a small feature will give them an inspiration an idea for a whole new unique story. With balto, the characters already have a personality, and looks, and persepective on things. Its quite difficult to work with things that are pretty much already made.

Just ignore him. Pppermnt has already been dealt with.

Each member has their own preferences here. Some are Balto fans for everything, but do not like reading Balto Fanfictions. Some do like reading these, but don't like Balto fan art. True, this is a Balto site, but part of being a fan is using one's imagination.
Of course, it would be nice to see some more Balto Fanfictions that are specifically associated with existing characters, themes, or plots of the actual story line. Yet, what defines a 'Balto' Fanfiction then? Depends on the individual.
Someone mentioned 'needing to have atleast one Balto Fanfiction in the gallery' like it is with Fanarts. I don't think that limiting this section to such an extent would improve anything for anyone really, so merely, it's an issue of seeing what you want to see in an organized fashion.



This is a very good solution. Will make the section quite a bit more eye friendly after the updates are made.

Aslong as, its about dogs, I'm ok. I voted no.
