I like Lion King really much, but this movie just doesn't find it's place in my heart. Brother Bear and Balto fills all my soul, so I can't say that Lion King is SO GOOD or BETTER than Balto.

Lion King 1 1/2 is in fact Lion King 3 everywhere in the world except the USA...

Lion King may be the greatest work of Disney. It explains all things we neede to know if we live in the same world.I saw this film almost 10 years ago,but I still love itand still learn from it.

Its pretty odd that both Balto and TLK have some similarities if you watch both movies carefully not mainly the story line which isnt the same but certain scenes and characters that have unusual resmblences.

There definitely are some parallels. Perhaps the production team of Balto were influenced by TLK seeing as it came out just the year before? (I'm not too clear on the time frames; would TLK have been out already while Balto was still in production?)

I like TLK 1 and 2 pretty much equally. TLK 1/2 (3) was funny but kind of mocked the first movie in my opinion.

Balto would have been in the final stages or almost final stages when TLK came out since they are a year apart so I don't think seeing TLK after it came out would have a lot of influence on it.
